JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE PLEASE,PLEASE,PLEASE
Would somebody please call the radio stations and tell them to please stop playing the song "CRY ME A RIVER". I've been at my office now for about 6 hours and I swear I've heard that song about 8 times today, I hear the damn thing on the pop radio stations "of course", I hear the damn thing on the urban stations and I hear it on any station that ain't country and western, and the way they are playing the damn thing sooo much there might as well be country and western version. Gosh almighty already will d.j.'s please give this whining little bitch of a song a rest. Sorry about the rant folks but ya'll know how it be sometimes. *********************************************
I'll believe it when I see it

There's a lot of record label money behind the Justin machine. They won't stop until this cow has been milked dry. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

The Powers that Be Want Him to Be the Michael Jackson of this Era.it ain't gonna Happen but they still gonna try to make Him the 2nd Most Important White Male Artist to Eminem.but again He can't catch Eminem either but they gonna try.I feel He is too Slick&Catchy as to Being that Good but we are in the Fast-Food Era of Music so this is what you get. mistermaxxx

so sad, all this to do over someone who's made a career out of mimicking other great artists. I really do hope these kids who are listening to it are also aware of the originators. It amazes me even more that these record companies will abandon the very acts that these newbies are copying in order to sell more of the same thing.

Yes mistermaxxx, Timberlake and Usher - that is a fair comparison I believe, considering both COMPLETELY SUCK ASS.

I don't think it's Timberlake per se, it's just the way the
companies are promoting him. His songs don't suck, it's the way they're being forced upon us. None of these new artists get time to really try out what they'd feel most comfortable with and create an own sound. First single they release has got to be a #1 single and all other stuff from their first album gets played to death on radio and mtv. They scoop the award shows and then... Well yes, then what? Then they make another album or two and people are sick and tired of them. They've become too famous too soon to be 'allowed' to change their style too much and then they're dropped by both their 10-13 year old audience as well as their record company. I just don't understand this need to have an artist on your label and create an "instant" star, promote them to death and have everything known about them within a matter of a few years. No mysterie, no free will. Then they explode, like stars are wont, and then the comp just manufactures a new one. I can't really see too many Lennons or McCartneys, Prince's Springsteens or even Madonnas coming from this era really. And that's not because there is no real talent, it's just because the overall field is being infested by the overtly crappy "new" commercial hoard. And that's a shame. Than again, being semi-sidelined, people like Björk, Ben Harper, Tori Amos, Nick Cave, Radiohead, Sinead, Beck and others do get to stage their own carreers and experiment with their sounds and even release fcking great albums, made with a real skil and talent. Whilst the "big bad" exexs focus on the immediate money in plastic pop. Argh, I should stop and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

Even as prolific and talented Prince is, it took him 5-6 albums to really hit it big. In today's market(should be "music scene")-- 5+ albums is almost unheard of without a huge hit. P would've been dumped long ago back in 1980 or 81, based on current standards. Of course, I'm preaching to the choir here when it comes to the music biz.
