Virtual Insanity.....

Let's talk about it...

Not only is this video a classic

But the lyrics r cool 2

I thought Jamorquai had a promising future in the music biz...

But he ended up in the One hit wonder hall of fame

What did u think about this video when it first came out?

Now I'm trying 2 learn how 2 play the song on my eletric keyboard. The keys light up when ur supposed 2 press it, i can't even get pass the first chords smile

after this hit ...they kept trying to repeat their success by making songs in a rather similar sounding vein...boring...although i still feel this song and video

I LOVE THAT SONG! You just made me go dig it up and throw it on the cd player!

Though Virtual Insanity was their only big hut in the U.S.,
Jamiroquai has consistently been popular in England and Europe (with high-grossing record sales and sold-out concert halls) since 1992. Their front man, Jay Kay, is one of the favorite tabloid personalities this side of the pond, partially due to his neverending parade of supermodels on his arm, luxury/racing car collection, and nightclub hi-jinx. Over here, he's kind of like a real bachelor, man about town type who (when not on stage), is always dressed in a nice suit, at some hi-profile music/fashion event, and once in a while, makes a non -music biz a headline because he tried to smack up a member of the paparazzi as they got too close to one of his Bentleys, or Rolls, or pick-a-car for the week.

All that aside, if you liked the little taste that we got of Jamiroquai stateside, if you EVER hear that the group is coming is coming to your town- RUN TO GET YOUR TICKETS! I promise you, D-L, You will NOT be disappointed! Those boys will put on a SHOW that will keep you dancing in the isles from beginning to end . The "funk level" is just out of control at their shows and you won't be able to sit down no matter how hard you try!

Just outta curiosity, did you ever get a chance to check out their cd "Emergency on Planet Earth"? That's probably
my favorite release because of Jay Kay's "Little-Baby-Stevie-Wonderish Jr." vocal style. If you don't have that one yet, it's a nice one to add to a music collection...

Depends where you live. Maybe Jamiroquai were a one hit wonder in the USA - but then the USA isn't exactly a landscape of musical taste is it.

Virtual Insanity was from their 3rd album, and Jamiroquai have been a huge group since their first single in the UK.

There last album, Funk Odyssey, was big here, I think it went to #1 in it's week of release.

It was a little formulaeic (sp?!), but it was stronger than the album before it.

If all you know is Virtual Insanity, I'd look up Jamiroquai on Amazon and see what you're missing, the 1st album is fantastic - and the mixes are classic!

I dug the Song&Video myself but My Biggest Problem with them overall is that they had a hard time coming up with a Album Worth of tight Tracks. They always had a Groovy Jam here&there but nothing for a whole album for Me.the closes thing was there 1993 Debut IMHO.

I dug them since I saw the video for "Space Cowboy"...they have some AWESOME videos for all their songs (Prince: please take notes).

This song (& video) was the best.

They had some record label troubles from what I hear...hopefully they'll get back on track.

You know what? I've never seen the "Virtual Insanity" video!! I became a fan in 1999 with the 'Synchronized' CD,so I missed out on all the hoopla that surrounded them in 1996.

I like the 'Traveling Without Moving' CD,but 'A Funk Odyssey' (2001) is my favorite. That album ROCKS!!
