Songs You're Ashamed You Like. For whatever reason, be it the artist, the song content, whatever.

I'm not ashamed of nothing. I don't believe in "guilty pleasures" or "cheesy". I either like a song or I don't. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Ain't ashamed that I still love that song where the group was singing about "me and you baby ain't nothing but mammals so let's do it like they do on the Discovery Channel."
NO SHAME WHATSOEVER. | |

That's The Bloodhound Gang, and it's called "The Bad Touch" lol.
I wish I were that bold and ballsy to back up all my musical choices, but there is stuff that I just am appalled that I like and wouldn't openly go around admitting I'm into .
I realized I was ashamed I liked that Jesse McCartney song, when I thought about posting it on my FB wall and then nixed the idea. "I don't think you'd do well in captivity." - random person's comment to me the other day

In retrospect I don't even know if that song counts as far as the thread topic, because everybody I know, likes that song.
To get back on topic - I noticed a lot of ppl are saying there's nothing wrong with liking this or that song, but they aren't naming off anything specific that they like that they're aware isn't really a popular choice.
So I kinda think they just inadvertently, proved my point. "I don't think you'd do well in captivity." - random person's comment to me the other day

I was a little ashamed that I liked Trey Songz's Trey Day album. He was touring really small venues back then and was playing a local theatre for $20. I tried to convince my friend who is a high school teacher to go to the concert with me, and she declined for fear that she would run into her students there. I didn't attend the concert, but I still crank up "I Can't Help But Wait" and "Last Time" every now and then.

I could've sworn some folks were calling it a guilty pleasure but yeah I judge anyone who DON'T love it.

You haven't seen my threads have you (such as Debby Boone)? Also I'm using the name "Micky Dolenz", and The Monkees have never been seen as cool. If you're embarrassed by something you like, you're too concerned about what someone else thinks. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I ain't ashamed of shit these days but there used to be a time that I was. I love a few songs from The Carpenters though.
And where's SoulAlive? He'll be up in here soon with his "Brady Bunch" album. Hell, I downloaded two of their songs myself. Andy is a four letter word.

T'hell with that pseudo liberal/militant 'I'm not ashamed of my likes!!!' attitude. I'm ashamed to say that I like a song by Lady Gaga ("Paperazzi".)
Downright embarrassed, actually.

Off the top of my head:
Nelly Furtado ft. Timbaland - Promiscuous The Corrs - What Can I Do Metallica - Fade To Black Mikko Alatalo - Ihmisen Ikävä Toisen Luo HIM - Buried Alive By Love Mike Oldfield - Moonlight Shadow Cheryl Cole - Fight For This Love Jessica Simpson - Walkin' Round In A Circle 3Oh!3 - Starstrukk Prince - Goodbye
None of them are really that bad, but they're not the type of stuff I'd see myself playing on repeat - but that's exactly what I've done in those cases.
