I consider myself a fan and I quite like Born This Way but I was slightly disappointed that there wasn't a little more musical variety on the album. Earlier in this thread I mentioned that I enjoyed "Beautiful, Dirty, Rich" and "Brown Eyes" on The Fame because they featured live instruments and gave the album a slightly different sound, kind of similar to how "Lady Cab Driver" and "International Lover" provide an alternative to the electro-funk on 1999. Born This Way (in the deluxe version) is over seventy minutes so it would have been great if there had been some different sounds to spice things up a bit.

I think she's definitely capable of the kind of music we're waiting to hear, and that it's just a matter of time.

Twitter queen Lady Gaga rallied her social media troops to pledge support, love and well wishes to E Street Band sax player Clarence Clemons, who suffered a stroke at his home in Florida this past weekend.

"Little monsters, my very close friend +musician on The Edge of Glory, Clarence Clemons is very sick," she tweeted to her nearly 11 million followers. "Can we all make some get well videos?”

She later tweeted: “In bed with Mommy thinking about Clarence, I can't wait for you to see the beautiful video we made together."

That's actually GOOD news, compared to what could have happened in these circumstances.

His name's Mark Kanemura. One website lists his ethnicity as Samoan, Japanese, Irish, English, Spanish, Ukrainian, Scottish and Portuguese. He was born in Hawaii and yes, he is FOINE! He always gets to dance solo with Gaga or is usually close to her when she performs. He was a dancer on "So You Think You Can Dance", and was the dancer wearing the hoodie and sunglasses in Janet's "Make Me" video.

I'll give her this, she is standing out over the other crop of pop artists. She knows her music and is obviously clearly passionate about it. "Edge of glory" has a great bridge (probably the best bridge I have heard in years LOL) but I just wished it was mixed better as MP3 style loud as hell compression is bugging me alot and I wish we could move on from this....

There's a pic even better than that one - I think it's from the Born This Way booklet, where she yanked her pants down to moon everybody and it looks like her butt is jumping out of the pic at you in 3D, it's great.
