Hold it; now that you've mentioned it, some folks here said that she had written a lot of songs with Akon for BTW. But hell, I can't find any trace of Akon on BTW, perhaps Gov Hooker but that's all...

The Akon tracks probably didn't get included on the album. I don't even hear his sound on the album like I did with "The Fame", which is probably why I couldn't fully dig "The Fame" like I did on most of "Fame Monster" because there was less Akon on that (I doubt he was even on that one). But he was definitely on "The Fame", you could hear him "singing" in the background on some songs especially "Just Dance" lol

[Edited 5/30/11 19:22pm]

Akon didn't even participate in the creation of The Fame, anyway. He wrote Colby's rap on "Just Dance", but that is it. He just "discovered" her.

As far as Akon tracks for Born This Way....

http://www.mtv.com/news/a...akon.jhtml

"Well, Gaga and her follow-up, I've definitely heard [it], and what I can really tell you about it is the fact that I'm excited — and I'm hard to excite," he laughed to MTV News about the release. "I'm really hard to excite, 'cause my big question was like, 'Wow, how are you going to outdo yourself on this one? Do you realize how big you are? Do you know how big you really are? How are you going to outdo yourself?' "

I don't think he did any tracks for this album. Likewise, he did no tracks for The Fame Monster and his only contribution on The Fame is the rap on "Just Dance."

I can't decide if "Heavy Metal Lover" or "Government Hooker" is my favorite track of the album - I LOVE both of these songs so much!!!!

I really like/like the majority of the album and there isn't a track I skip (unless it's to go directly from "Gov. Hooker" to "Heavy Metal Lover"). And I like the title track and "Judas" much more within the context of the album.

Go, Gaga! This album is just so fun to listen to, and it reminds me of how I felt when I was a teen taking the bus to "Musicland" and coming back with a new cassette to listen to.

Jesus is the new black, ow!!!

Never be broken? For what? Gaga's album is projected to be at 1.15 million, which would be second only to N'SYNC's "No Strings Attatched".

the last golden era of the industry, for sure: p2p was still a harmless baby learning the ABC & the teens had money to spend. Too bad that the music sucked though lol

I was always camp Backstreet myself (is there a more gorgeous man in any boyband past or present than Kevin Richardson? lol ). They brought true boybandom (Hanson not included) back to the forefront after the long absences of New Edition and NKOTB.
