She said last year the fame wasn’t her just something to break into the business. *shrugs* All you fame lovers take it or leave it.
Yeah I think a part of her don't even remember recording it because she was high for most of those sessions, her words. I just read she was REAL high when she came up with "Beautiful, Dirty, Rich", which I just heard played on a commercial for an upcoming show on "Investigation Discovery".
I come in contact with so many fame dick riders saying they miss old Gaga get over it no one is forcing you to still follow her career |

the usual suspects: Boys Boys Boys (wtf ), Money Honey (it sounds cheap, like a Ke$ha song or something), Brown Eyes () , Disco Heaven (I don't truly like those retro fake disco experiments, if you're gonna make a disco song, do it right!), Starstruck (shit-hop), Paper Gangsta ( ) And I don't like the juvenile spirit of the album. At this early point, GaGa was in the same room with Ke$ha, Xtine, Britney, Beyoncé, RiRi, Katie Perry, etc. Hell, it IS a product of its time (2008-2009). The Fame Monster and BTW contain the true sound of GaGa.
Yikes, that's nearly half the album! I thought you were pretty high on The Fame.
Just Dance
LoveGame
Paparazzi
Pokerface
I Like It Rough
and I can tolerate The Fame (I hate the lyrics), BD&R, and Summerboy...
you know, when The Fame appeared, I thought she was just the younger version of Ke$ha, and that she wouldn't last more than another albu,. Of course, Bad Romance appeared and I was hooked. Alejandro, Monster, Telephone, Teeth, Speechless, good tunes...
but nothing as wild, good and excessive as BTW, this new album is dope... |

It's like if you missed "the old Gaga", which by the way is so fucking stupid, she's only been in the public eye for six years (three of those years as a star), that's not even old, it's just that she progressed so quickly even fans who were with her "from the beginning" can't keep up (reminds me of reading things on how fans of Madonna, Michael, Prince and Bowie were upset because each of them changed so much, even if it wasn't as quick as Gaga). "The Fame" Gaga is not coming back. |

Lyrically, does anyone find the album to be "too gay?" After "Born This Way" was released there was some pissing and moaning about how she is too focused on the gay community and that she was going to alienate her straight fans. I don't know, maybe there are some coded messages that only the gays will understand but the lyrics seem fairly ambiguous to me. I don't think they are great but they don't appear to be pushing a sinister gay agenda either.
After hearing the WHOLE album, I don't get that at all. I have to admit I did a video where I judged where she was going with her material after the release of the song (I deleted it like minutes later lol, and did a more two-sided approach on it but I deleted that, I don't like when I do vlogs, I look awkward as hell). But after hearing the album (least the standard version), I don't get the "too gay" vibe at all. Even "Highway Unicorn". It's more like some bad, cheap version of a "Jem" episode (and don't hate, "Jem" was hot) than anything. I get a more "this is for the misfits" vibe from SOME of the songs (particularly BTW, Hair, Bad Kids, etc.) But there's other songs where that's not even the message at all (the rest of the album).
Honestly I feel it’s supposed to be a more rebellious/not giving a fuck content like you said as well too "misfits" Just with the the promo picture with her just wearing the jacket that's the vibe I got from it.. I get no gay vibe at all except for the title track. Gaga just likes to put “gay” in things when it’s not needed. |

UGH I agree! That's real annoying right there. But yeah it's definitelly a more rebellious, misfit type of album. It actually is not as campy as some are making it out to be. Definitely more edgy than the other albums and "The Fame" in particular. |

really? wow, -o perhaps I was too disconnected from the mainstream scene during the 2008-2009 years (I was too busy at that time, I don't even remember posting here during those months lol), so I just kept listening to old stuff or early 00's stuff.
I remember that I discovered GaGa by the time she released the PokerFace video and I thought that she looked like a nasty dumb hot young bitch doing electro-pop for the late 00's teen generation lol , but don't get me wrong I liked the song, I thought it was extreme, with some weird euro-dance flavour, and a TRUE techno/dance sound, not the american shit-dance shit.
With Bad Romance, as I've said, I knew she was something special and worthy... |

I remembered the first time Gaga got posted here (by Tony of all people, or BlaqueKnight, I'm not sure who) back in 2008. I think it was that performance she gave of "PokerFace" or "LoveGame", I forgot which, and he was one of the only ones who was like she has talent but then compared it to Prince (I think that's why he got attacked in the thread, he and BlaqueKnight lol). Some folks were all like "she ain't gonna last long". I bet those same folks are now blasting BTW as we speak. When I heard PokerFace, my response was "oh pop done made a comeback". I didn't start really getting into her until I was on The Skorpion Show (he pretty much rides her clit now lmao). I knew she'd stayed around when "Bad Romance" came out too. That song would definitely be talked about, same with "PokerFace".

But yeah Gaga was around for a while even before "The Fame", no one posted about her then (when she was Stefani Germanotta). Hell even when she started using the Lady Gaga moniker and was performing with Lady Starlight (who I hear sucks), no one posted about her until when she came out in '08 lol |

1. Government Hooker
2. Heavy Metal Lover
3. Bloody Mary
4. Electric Chapel
5. Fashion of His Love
6. Judas
7. Bad Kids
I love the whole album so much but those songs are simply delicious The orger formerly known as theodore |

I come in contact with a couple of gay fans who just prefer her to not focus on it so much. Not saying do straight records because she doesn’t have songs with Gay content just she doesn’t need to force the gay message in everything

She was also on their last album, she did a duet with them. She also wrote for them (and some other acts). I think this was after Interscope signed her (via distribution with Cherrytree Records). She worked with Colby O'Donis (I think that's his name) and Colby guested on "Just Dance". There was a strong Akon vibe in her first recordings, I noticed. I thought "uh oh" at first lol but she separated herself from that sound on "The Fame Monster" and totally got away from it on this album. Def Scam also signed her at some point. |
