Lady Gaga: The performer and the Person

I wonder what its like for her everyday now.

She's always have to go out in public as a performer

She can't really be herself at all- she always has to be her own image.

I wonder if takes a toll on her

The person

She CHOSE to not be herself out in public.

There are several big name artists that have no problem switching their stage persona off when they're off stage.

Yeah I know, but now that she's so big- I wonder if she gets tired of it.

I think the most shocking thing she could possibly do at this point is to go back to wearing that dress lol

What a transformation! Guess I'm not really sure yet where I stand as far as Lady Gaga is concerned...I watch her videos

now and then, and it's obvious she really can sing, but there's always this question mark after I've watched her antics.

I'm never sure what to do with her.

Gaga the person seems more interesting to me.

I keep saying this, but I'd love to see her just go up there and sit at a piano and sing without all the extra. She definitely has the talent. I think someone just told her she has to do all that over-the-top shit.

She doesn't.

I think she feels the need to outdo every controversy she does. The more she do shit like that, the more she would have a harder time backing of that contrived image she made of herself. People just expect it from her.

I do think she is talented (moreso than most pop stars nowadays) but god damn, she comes of as a desperate try hard.

I think that even if she dropped all the spectacle, she'd still do fine. There's plenty of artists who don't do a bunch of unnecessary stuff who still manage to sell and have devoted fanbases. And maybe I'm wrong, I don't know, but the whole Lady Gaga thing she does now, never felt genuine to me, like this was a person really expressing themselves and who they are, but like, again, it was something that someone told her she had to do, as though if she didn't, she wouldn't have a career.

Gaga fans expect the gaga-ness from her. Like how most Prince fans want the wild Prince back of the 80's.

It'll be interesting to watch her career after BTW era.

I don't think I would enjoy LG as much as I do if she were not as crazy.
