Bob Dylan Bootleg Series Packaging (North America vs. Europe)

I just got around to picking up vols. 5-9 in this series and I was hoping someone could answer a question I have about the packaging. Vols. 5-8 were manufactured in Europe and are standard jewel cases with the booklet inside. Vol. 9, which was manufactured in North America, came in a cardboard sleeve that contained the discs and a booklet that was too big to fit in the jewel case. The booklet in the jewel case was just a two page mini poster. My copy of vol. 4 is packaged similarly to vol. 9. I'm guessing that the European versions of all sets feature the same basic packaging and that the North American ones are a bit fancier. So, can anyone confirm for me that vols. 5-8 are available packaged in cardboard sleeves with thicker booklets?

Vols. 5-7 each had a 2010 copyright date so they may be reissues that use cheaper packaging than the original issues.

I got the European versions for just under ten bucks each but if I had known about the differences in packaging I probably would have spent a few more bucks for the North American versions.

Well I got my vol 5, 6 and 7 in New Zealand and they all have the 56 page booklet in cardboard sleeve. Vol 5 came with a bonus dvd with the performance of Isis live

I haven't got Tell Tale Signs - Bootleg series vol 8 partially because he released a special edition version with an extra disc of 12 tracks that cost an additional $100! I'm like Fuck Sony!!

I have seen the 2 disc version with booklet as well though

Thanks for the info. Looks like I got the "cheap" versions.

I did very briefly consider shelling out for the three disc version of vol. 8 but there's no way I can justify spending that much on it.

I bought vols 4 & 5 in the UK when they came out, and they're both packaged similarly to each other, in cardboard sleeves with a thick booklet. And the latter has the same DVD with Isis on it, as mentioned above.

Vol 8 is the only other one I have, and it's just in a standard jewel case.
