Ashton Kutcher hasn't come out of the bushes yet.

lol

Ashton Kutcher just got caught in traffic.....He's coming. I won't believe it until I see it in a store or an official webstore like Amazon or iTunes or something.

I actually think this negative feedback for her serves as a nice test of her integrity. If it's real as it supposed to be, I wonder if she'll change it due to the "monsters outcry".

I doubt it. She happily showed it off to fans in, I believe, Orlando, just hours before she posted it on Twitter. It was taken off of her Facebook page for too many negative comments but it's still on her Twitter and website.

I gotta say the religious undertones are beginning to grate.

First with the "god makes no mistakes" line in the chorus of "born this way" and now the second single being all about one jesus's disciples.....it's funny because gaga thinks she's some sort of all-inclusive role model but when you do stuff like this, you're being exclusive to western religious philosophy. It's becoming obvious that she went to a catholic school, and it's a little unnerving.

I don't recall there being any religious references in "just dance", "poker face", "paparazzi", "telephone", "bad romance"..... they were just good songs. no pandering to certain demographics either, the way "born this way" is a blatant pander to the LGBT community.

My cousin said "rather than widening her scope, she's limiting it".

Just go listen to Britney. She has pretty much no opinions in her music. If gaga wants to talk religion so be it. I would rather her be a real artist and thought provoking than a million Just Dance type songs. If people talking about God is unnerving to you then thats an issue you need to face. Lets not limit areas of artistic expression just because it threatens you. This song is awesome. Nothing amazing but I like it better than Born This Way. Oh and I am part of the gay community and it was nice to have a song like that in the top 40 in my lifetime. Anyway how can you be a Prince or MJ fan and be bothered by talk about God?

I have no problem with artists going the religious or political route just Gaga doesn’t seem to

execute right in that area so I can’t get with it and prefer something else. I still want to hear her album just I’m a little under whelmed for this “era” in her career. I will still be a fan because I love her old songs.

Well, if you want to compare stuff on a song by song basis, I think "Hold It Against Me" and "Till The World Ends" are about a BILLION times better than "Born This Way" and "Judas". And that's not even about being a bigger fan of one artist than another - actually I thought "Fame Monster" was fucking amazing and damn near flawless, so...

And Michael very rarely referenced religion in his songs (I'm struggling to think of any, TBH), and almost none of my favorite Prince songs do. The less religious references in pop music, the better. If I wanted to hear that shit I'd listen to gospel.

Your personal critique of the songs has nothing to do with the value of their content and how it reflects on society. You claimed you had a problem with "Born This Way" because you suggested the act of a heterosexual pop star referencing the LGBT community constituted pandering. Nevermind the fact she had a strong gay following before she ever had a straight following -at all-. Nevermind the fact the guy who broke her to the media is a raging queen. Nevermind the fact she has had 2 gay bands opening for her on the Monster Ball and a portion of the Monster Ball tickets goes to helping gay homeless kids. Nevermind the fact that she interfaces so well with her fans that her actions that YOU deem as posturing ends up inspiring those young kids to celebrate diversity. Nevermind all that would make this song legitimate. Since she is straight, it is pandering. Thus, leave the "message" music to their respective minorities to drive to the top of the charts.

Yeah, and also... Prince is not just a person with a few religious-themed songs. His entire fucking library is a celebration of God in one form or another. There is no note, written or sung, in Prince's library that is performed in a 'secular' fashion.

I never suggested my critique of the songs was based on that. The fact that I don't particularly enjoy these two songs is a separate issue from my suggestion that she's pandering, and ALSO, her own sexuality isn't relevant either.

What do Perez Hilton and Semi Precious Weapons have to do with anything? I read Perez every day and I bough SPW's EP and loved it. And again, I never said she wasn't genuine or legitimate with the message. You can be genuine and still be pandering. She knows damn well the LGBT community is one of her biggest assets. And she's using that as a crutch rather than making all-inclusive songs NOT targeted to specific communities. Get it now?

and LMFAO at Prince's entire library being a celebration of god. Yeah, Dirty Mind is a celebration of god, for real. Kiss is a celebration of god. Come is a celebration of god, Darling Nikki too. I guess Hot Thing is a celebration of god, and Head too. Wow. You're reaching. I don't give a flying fuck about people's personal religious beliefs or if that's what inspires their songwriting. I just don't care to hear them DIRECTLY singing about it. Again - NOT that hard to understand.

And yes, all of his library is a celebration of God in some form. Ask him yourself and I am certain he will say the same. If you're unclear about the word secular, look that up on your own. The first one's free.

with each new lady gaga song i am more and more shocked by the apparent popularity of this woman.

so i guess she really does push buttons.

its also hilarious that we are on a multi-instrumentalist genius artist's fan website and his fans pan 20ten while extolling the virtue of a computer made euro pop song about being in love with judas.

o well...

maybe one of these days i'll be able to stomach more than a minute's listening of this supposed brilliant and enlightening savior of modern music.

My first thought was that if there was a "song" playing in hell, this would be it. I'm not saying it's a bad song, but it does seem a bit "demonic" sounding, like, something you'd hear at some random ritual or something like that. I dunno. Just my opinion. I hope LG eventually finds her way back to having songs with real instruments and not so much over the top production. I'll be glad if/when she has her "slave" moment like Prince did back in the day and control more of her sound, image and one day her legacy.

Trolls be gone!

Why is that funny? Prince has made tons of songs using similar instrumentation to many of Lady Gaga's songs. A great song is a great song. Being a multi instrumentalist does not make your songs better than someone that can't play a single instrument.

Of course, he would say the same, NOW. But I disagree with you and I'd disagree with him if he told me that himself (so much for you trying to call me Mani 2.0, eh? lol)

Anyway I'm sick of debating this because it's apparent that neither of us is going to change each others opinion. As per usual. So with that said, have a great day man. I send you positive vibes.

I'm not here to continually generate negativity through disagreement. None of us is perfect and I apologize for any insulting or condescending remarks I've made to you in the past simply over a difference of opinion. So, I wish you the best and I don't really have anything else to add to this thread other than that I hope I like the rest of Gaga's album a lot more than the first two singles.

To be honest, when you take away the "religious connotation", the song ain't really all that controversial. (Even WITH it, it ain't controversial)

But it's another song about someone who wants to be with another man though she's in love with a man who's in love with her.

That's not even close to controversy so I think religious folks and the author behind it (Stefani Germanotta) are making a big deal about the song when it's really about nothing.

Had it been anyone else doing this, no one would bat an eye but because it's meat dress-wearing, fake blood spurting, prosthetics-wearing, wanna-be-a-Kawasaki Lady Gaga, people wanna put in their two cents. lol

Only way she'll shock me is if the other songs are not designed this way. I know "You & I" isn't designed like the other two but the other songs remain a question mark especially that "Hair" song which allegedly features Clarence Clemons and "You & I" is supposed to have Queen guitarist Brian May in it.

You completely missed my point. There are many, many Prince songs that feature keyboards and drum machines playing most of the parts. For example, much of the 1999 album. Do you only like Prince songs that feature "real" instruments? Why is it ok for Prince to use "fake" instruments but it's not ok for Lady Gaga?

Stevie Wonder used programmed keyboards on many of his classic songs from the '70s, would you call his music "computer noise?"

If you don't like Lady Gaga's music because you find her songs bad that's fine, we all have different tastes, but I think it's hypocritical for a Prince fan to slag her music because it doesn't use "real" instruments.

and let's not forget that many electronic artists USUALLY create a more interesting/versatile music than the typical "organic pop/rock" act/band, specially after 1976...

I like many of GaGa's songs: Pokerface, Bad Romance, Speechless, etc., but as far as the two new songs go--I don't much like Born This Way (not for political reasons) and I kind of like Judas (not for religious reasons). IMO neither of these two songs stand up to her prior work. I also don't like the album cover for the upcoming release. Just my twocents

I thought it was funny when Prince started talking about real music by real musicians, especially since the album he was promoting at the time (Musicology) featured heavy use of drum machines. Plus, Prince has often used pre-recorded vocal tracks and even pre recorded instrumental tracks when he performs live. It's fine to champion live music and musicians but he should at least practice what he preaches.

A good song is a good song no matter how many people play on it.

The Lyrics:

Ohohohoh
I'm in love with Judas, Judas

Ohohohoh
I'm in love with Judas, Judas

Judas! Juda-as Judas! Juda-as
Judas! Juda-as Judas! GAGA

[Lady Gaga - Verse 1]
When he comes to me, I am ready
I'll wash his feet with my hair if he needs
Forgive him when his tongue lies through his brain
Even after three times, he betrays me

I'll bring him down, bring him down, down
A king with no crown, king with no crown

[Chorus]

I'm just a Holy Fool, oh baby he's so cruel
But still I'm in love with Judas, baby
I'm just a Holy Fool, oh baby he's so cruel
But still I'm in love with Judas, baby

Ohohohoh
I'm in love with Judas, Judas

Ohohohoh
I'm in love with Judas, Judas

Judas! Juda-as Judas! Juda-as
Judas! Juda-as Judas! GAGA

[Lady Gaga - Verse 2]
I couldn't love a man so purely
Even prophets forgave his crooked way
I've learned love is like a brick you can
Build a house or sink a dead body

I'll bring him down, bring him down, down
A king with no crown, king with no crown

[Chorus]
I'm just a Holy Fool, oh baby he's so cruel
But still I'm in love with Judas, baby
I'm just a Holy Fool, oh baby he's so cruel
But still I'm in love with Judas, baby

Ohohohoh
I'm in love with Judas, Judas

Ohohohoh
I'm in love with Judas, Judas

[Bridge]
In the most Biblical sense,
I am beyond repentance
Fame hooker, prostitute wench, vomits her mind
But in the cultural sense
I just speak in future tense
Judas kiss me if offenced,
Or wear an ear condom next time

I wanna love you,
But something's pulling me away from you
Jesus is my virtue,
And Judas is the demon I cling to
I cling to

[Chorus]
I'm just a Holy Fool, oh baby he's so cruel
But still I'm in love with Judas, baby
I'm just a Holy Fool, oh baby he's so cruel
But still I'm in love with Judas, baby

Ohohohoh
I'm in love with Judas, Judas

Ohohohoh
I'm in love with Judas, Judas

Judas! Juda-as Judas! Juda-as
Judas! Juda-as Judas! GAGA

I await the video.
