Hi, Harle! Just curious, what of you think of her pieces like these, from the 80's....

From the albums, "Dog Eat Dog" (1985), and "Wild Things Run Fast" (1982)

featuring Larry Klein: Bass, Wayne Shorter : Saxophone

I only have a compilation of her 80s/90s AKA the Geffen years, which include all the stuff that you posted.

This is only just give me a taste as I'm moving my way up, I just bought "Wild Things Run Fast"(Which I love) - Loooooove Ladies Man btw. But I kinda have my reservations about her 80s material, loved The Tea Leaf Prophecy(With Wendy & Lisa) and The Beat of the black wings(Which I only found about through your thread last month).

Basically, I'm taking my time when it comes to her 80s stuff. I've been hearing folks saying that "Mingus" and "Don Juan" are hard to listen to, but I think her 80s material were the challenging ones.

okay I fucking love this comment!!!

because everybody I've played

"The Jungle Line" for could NOT get into it sad

I mean EVERYBODY!!!

that moog (couldn't finger the name of the instrument) is deadly!!! drool

in fact, you will hear that track sampled

on my forthcoming beats project called Stallion Medallion!!! biggrin

"The Jungle Line" is the fuckin' shit! I believe the Moog synthesizer is killer on this cut with the African warrior drums. Too epic and ahead of it's time for a statement in 1975, before Paul Simon got all of the love and praise for what he did in the 80s.

I was impressed when I found out that she WAS the one who played it. Nobody else but her on acoustic guitar & moog and the warrior drums of Burundi. I wish I was fly in during the recording of that song, in fact, I wish there is a footage somewhere pray
