Marvin's "I Want You" (the single) was released 35 years ago today

Oh and a note here: the I Want You album was released a month before the song (March 16, 1976).

For real! It surpasses Let's Get It On in terms of eroticism and emotion. Marvin and Leon were truly on fire when this album and single came out. One of my favorite Marv albums. Guess I'll spin the Deluxe Edition later.

That's why I wish Leon could've just let Marvin have the songs on his own solo project, Musical Massage. Marvin would've slaughtered that album with his iconic vocal arrangements. I Want You and Musical Massage would've been a one-two knock out punch.

Exactly. Leon is alright vocally but he just wasn't Marvin!

"I Want You" is my favorite Marvin cd...........I'm not sure what my fave song by Marvin is. I love too many of them.
