Joi - Dance With Yesterday
If "I Wish U Heaven" & "Wherever U Go, Whatever U Do" slept together and had a baby, that song would be it, musically.

I believe she was part of Organized Noize.
Nah, scratch that, I think she did some collaborations with them, Outkast and Goodie Mob but I think that's as far as that goes. [Edited 5/17/11 12:22pm]

She took Dawn Robinson's place in Lucy Pearl.

That's right! She was in Lucy Pearl after Dawn was fired from the group.

Joi is a self-possessed woman. I'd love to see her as a stage guest but other than that is asking for trouble.

Joi and Prince would butt heads on the first day of rehearsal.

....don't u mean on the phone making the arrangments 2 meet?

Yeah, THEN they'll butt heads.

She only served in a live capacity then? Lucy Pearl didn't record another album did they?

Yep. Lucy Pearl disbanded before re-assembling another album. Something had to do with Raphael and Ali Shaheed having problems.

Joi performed at Paisley Park back in the day when her first cd The Pendulum VibeNick Ashford was someone I greatly admired, had the honor of knowing, and was the real-life inspiration for Cowboy Curtis' hair. RIP Nick. - Pee Wee Herman
