I JUST DOWNLOADED THE ALBUM! eek The best thing I've heard so far this year!

touched It sure feels good to spread the funk! lol

Here's some more great new music:

Andreya Triana's album Lost Where I Belong was released last year, but this wonderful remix by Tokimonsta came out early this year I think.

Wildcookie are a Swedish-American duo who mix neo-soul with latin rhythms. This is the first single from their debut Cookie Dough which was released last month.

MrLee192

i cant really find any new pure funk coming out.

Dam-funk is more instrumental G-funk. And thats all i know.

There is my own band www.countercultureofficial.com we have funk influence...but not fully at the moment.

If "Atomic Dog" & "Funkin' For Jamaica" had a baby, and the Godparents were Bernie Worell and Chaka Khan, this would be the offspring. You will involuntarily make the "funk" face when you hear this!! biggrin

You're welcome Bulldog! You should check out this blog: moovmnt.com It's my number one source for new funk, r'n'b and soul. That's where I first heard most of the music I posted here.

GOOD Lord "Confection I Got A Thing (4u)" is awesome! Wow...I got so much more than I bargained for in here it is rediculous...starting to forget there is old funk music...wow..there is so much to get caught up on. I am really enjoying Confection and Amila. Downloaded Dogg Master and Charles Bradley...

Sosgemini I like that Blue Six too, bboy just put one of their tracks on a mixtape.

So much to get caught up on and digest in here...see this is why I love the org, I cant get this much accessible new funk and dance underground without the likes of you

Chris Turner is a soul singer from Oakland. He's about to release his debut album later this year and based on this song it's going to be pretty good.

This is the best boogie joint I've heard in a while. It's from Amalia's debut album Art Slave (produced by Opolopo) released earlier this month.

Bugz in the Attic - Consequences ( edit mix & expanded mix )

Reel People - Second Guess featuring Jag (Simon Grey Research Mix) [HD]

The wild intro with synth-sounds and staccato, syncopated beats gives a good idea how tight Simon Grey creates his remixes.

Dig the brief pause after the intro, just before Jag begins his first verse. After that first verse, all synth-madness breaks loose.

I was blown away when first hearing it and keep bumping it without getting tired of it. Powerful sound of recent years.
