I've never heard this one before but I can tell it was done in the late 1980s rather than the early 1980s. It sounds good but not as strong as the early 1980s stuff. I like this one but I really love the stuff he did with The Jonzun Crew that had more of a deep space feel which I really love.
Maurice Starr from the group also did a solo jam in 1983 called "Spacey Lady" which is really jammin'....

Yea, I prefer Maurice's stuff too, and this is the only notable song on Michael's album.
