I remember this performance and I was spellbound from beginning to end. The song was just emotion-driven and you could feel Jill!

The singular thing I always loved most about Jill is that she is bold enough to be JUST herself (no B.S. ego trippin vocal runs....no B.S. PERIOD).
This performance is especially notable, I think, because....although SO hard to sing live like that...so "vulnerably".....her just being Jill makes a pretty damned magnificent impression. Funk Is It's Own Reward | |
