I hated "We Don't Have To Take Our Clothes Off".That's nothing more than mid-80s pop crap
After declaring your love for that mess of a Madonna song (and oh, half her catalog), you have the nerve to post this? Wow! I am fascinated by your brain. Cheese is cheese and we all love it but to hypocritically love Madonna cheese and then dismiss this one is strange as fuck.
I agree,"The Word Is Out" is his best song That's a JAM!
80's R&B flashback: "The Word Is Out" by Jermaine Stewart (1984)
I never heard this before. It's damn good! Funky but kind of new wave. "Clothes" is very pop (but I like it, but probably not nearly as much as this now).
I'm only half watching this video...nobody believed you were getting it on with her...did they?
will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that wasn't of this earth, would not have been that surprised. R.I.P.
I would think having a bonafide hit like that would make U a major star wouldn't it?????????????

No that makes you a one-hit wonder as far as the mainstream is concerned.
He is not a one hit wonder....Plus he had a career on Soul Train & was a backup singer/ choreographer for Shalamar.....

It's a great song and like Vainandy said,it has a Art Of Noise vibe to it

I meant on the POP charts...as a solo artist. Not overall.
I disagree . "WDHTTOCO" was huge. He was performing that on every music show back then & it was played on the radio every half hour...

Besides from "We Don't Have to Take Our Clothes Off". Do you recall ANY OTHER Jermaine song that became a big hit on the Hot 100? True he got R&B success but think about it, after that song, what other hit did he have?
THAT'S what I was talking about. Now you get where I'm getting at?
It aint about being cool. Just was likely that he died of AIDS given that he was gay and the era he was living in and that he was a pop star with probably a lot of dick and ass at his disposal. It's not like I even knew. Hell I was surprised to hear he was dead in the first place. Dude wasn't even 40. If he had died of a drug overdose my reply would have been the same.
I'M NOT SAYING YOU'RE UGLY. YOU JUST HAVE BAD LUCK WHEN IT COMES TO MIRRORS AND SUNLIGHT! RIP Dick Clark, Whitney Houston, Don Cornelius, Heavy D, and Donna Summer.

Yeah....you should be rolling your eyes.
And sometimes I roll my neck.

For the "full Art Of Noise" effect, I always loved the Dub mix off the B side of the 12"
Yep. And in the early 1990s he told a reporter from "Sister 2 Sister" magazine, who later told Geraldo, that he and Magic Johnson had previously been sleeping together.
So THAT's^ why Isaiah Thomas started to question Magic's sexuality after Magic went public about having HIV. Interesting.
At least we all know now that Magic was (and still is?!?) definitely bisexual.

I get what your saying. But i don't think he lived very long to give him a chance to get another hit. Its not fair to count him out. Now if he was still alive maybe so....

Well considering it was ten years after "Clothes" I doubt he would've had a hit. I don't know if it was him but I heard rumors he was blacklisted from the industry shortly before he died and he was gonna air out people's dirty laundry in a book. Never came out of course as he died before he made good on his promise.

I don't care what U may have meant. AIDS is nothing to joke about. That dude may have suffered. That is a heartless thing to say......

Yeah from what I heard, he had a lot of information to dish out.

Just because Jermaine made that claim does not make it true. Magic's HIV came as a result
of unprotected sex with scores of female groupies.
Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint
