Marvin & Tammi - If This World Were Mine (an extended remix)

A longtime Motown fan, ptownmotowndj, remixed the version to include bits of an acapella, instrumental and the actual song. Just perfection. Just hearing the strings... music

Marvin & Tammi were so powerful vocally, they actually didn't NEED the Funk Brothers/Detroit Symphony Orchestra backing them up:

And this was one of the first songs they recorded when they were BOTH in the studio TOGETHER. nod

Hey now, you are about to go some place that's so special, it ain't even funny. cool

Seperate the singers from those who can SANG. I"ve heard a couple of singers in my lifetime come to the mike and sing acapella. I would probably consider "sellin' out my momma" if I could hear Marvin and Tammi singing without instrumental accompaniment. By the way my mother and I played along with them singing, they are on the beat. smile Precious posting Timmy, thank you.

Singers and musicians in the studio together is as common as seeing a UFO, and everyone wonders why music is so blah blah blah.

You're welcome. cool And yeah it's funny looking back how when everything was apart, how they put it together into a fine mix. It's funny you can put 15 people in the same room to create a song today and it sounds like a bunch of crap. lol
