Omar - Say Nothing A used copy of Omar's fourth album This Is Not A Love Song just dropped into my mail box and made my day. Say Nothing was the first single lifted from the album. Everything about this tune smacks of quality. I even like the unpretentious video, with him on his bike - rather than, say, cruising the streets in a (rented!) convertible.
That album and For Pleasure are probably my favourites, but, really, he kept the bar high across his whole back catalogue. It's been said many times, but he's one of the people that came up around that time (initially given the 'acid jazz' tag) that never got the recognition he deserved.
