At least she had sense to start lip-synching halfway through the song, or they turned her mic off.

The best part of all of this is the delightfully ambiguous thread title. Once I started listening, I just naturally assumed she was actually going to start assaulting people physically after they started booing her. lol

But they never booed. hmm

And just what would have been so bad about having Martha on the album cover, in the videos, and performing the songs live in concert? That little skinny bitch needs to sit her ass down because the dogs wouldn't have her because even they want a little meat on the bone.

1) That's not even the original lipsyncher, is it? 2) I was waiting for some boxing. It took me a minute to get what the point of the thread was. I'm slow today. lol

It's amazing how great the performance is once she decides to stop "singing".

BTW, this is definitely an old video.

Ain't no way background dancers would be caught wearing those outfights today!

Thanks for the trip down memory lane.....lovely music memories from that time period......

What episode of The View was THAT from?! lol

Totally off-topic but isn't it hillarious how Whoopi is totally annoyed by Walters on a daily basis yet everyone ignores it? lol

Brilliant, right?! lol

I was waiting for her to dive into the audience a la Axl Rose and start pounding someone. But the "assault" throughout was aural! falloff

nod nod nod The "singing" was terrible, but the thread title is a work of art.

Its official i have a new worst period of music, the Club Mtv era, that show ruined every freestyle group like the Cover Girls, Sweet Sensation etc... and of course brought the world all these wonderful groups or fake groups like C&C and Black Box etc...

C+C Music Factory is not a fake group. Zelma Davis sang lead on most of the songs on the 1st album. Martha did sing lead on Gonna Make You Sweat. Zelma was in the video doing Martha's parts and Martha wasn't. Both her and Martha Wash sing and appear in the video for Do You Wanna Get Funky from the 2nd album. They also appeared on Showtime At The Apollo performing the song. Trivia: Zelma also appears in Michael Jackson's video for Will You Be There. She's one of the background singers.

BUT C&C were the creators of the sham era, the , put the hot chick out there and have the un-attractive one do the work, again no one ever called them out because they were "hittamakers" but that whole era and that lead into the "remix" era which was a close second in the worst era in music, notice how its all been building in the "shit" direction since Mtv's sale in the mid 80's.

I also left out SEDUCTION which was partly fake, Idalis Deleon who was with Mtv for a time as a VJ was a replacement in this group and said that Michelle Visage did "partial" vocals and on other tracks they hired "ghosts"

There were fake groups long before this period like Boney M, The Archies, Partridge Family, etc. Even many of The Supremes records were really Diana Ross and The Andantes. Mary Wilson, Flo Ballard, & Cindy Birdsong weren't on some of them at all. Remixes came out in the mid 1970's disco era.

yeah but it was the way it went during this period, it was fashion to create these groups at that time, i mean The Beatles hardly played on Abbey Road, but i dont thinnk i would call them a fake band, they just happend to use studio musicians at times on that record so its a little different, the partridge family came at a time when the monkees were the shit, and they almost never played on their records, same with the PF with the exception of David Cassidy who did play and write and sing.

Fair enough. However, Tara Kemp was a good artist. At least she was singing with her real voice! cool And it's a shame that she retired from the industry after 2 dance hits singles.
