Who else doesn't think that... Born This Way is an Express Yourself ripoff? I mean, really. Everyone said Alejandro was a La Isla Bonita rip, when those two songs sound absolutely nothing alike either. As far as BTW and EY go, they are different in topic and pace. BTW is faster, and is about self-acceptance and love, whatever your color, gender or sexual orientation. EY is about self-empowerment within a relationship. If you want to split hairs, then yes, the harmonies during the choruses are similar, but that's hardly enough to make a federal case out of it. Now, if this had been a case of...
...then I could see everyone's point. But, as it stands, BTW and EY are no more alike than Just Dance and Last Dance. "Get up off that grey line"

"inspired by" doesn't necessarily mean "ripoff"...

This debate would be worth taking part in if Gags "inspired by" was worthy of discussion but it's a poorly written and uninsipring mess that leaves people uninterested. Now, *that* is what we should all be discussing. Why did Lady Gag feel this song was worthy of being a lead song for her next album.
...just saying. Space for sale...

I don't hear it either.
Seems to me, somebody said "oh, this sounds like EY" and than everybody else just followed LOL

Alejandro rips off Ace of Base's Don't Turn Around, not La Isla Bonita.

If I squint real hard and concentrate I can vaguely make out how someone could connect the two songs but it doesn't leap out obviously to me.
