then this decade will be as bad and overblown as the last. they arent an awful band but this is the issues i had with Radiohead, this is only some much you can do with banging and quirkey noise, im not hearing anything in Arcade Fire, i hear more in a band like THE NATIONAL, more constructive, i dont dig what arcade fire is trying to do, its very sloppy in playing, critics love it because its the cool thing to love right now, but next year there will be another band that is gonna be the best band on earth and then a week later another one, Impress me with music not HYPE,

they've already owned half the decade from a critical standpoint. that's quite an accomplishment with a fickle music press 3 albums in.

you know, as reviled as he was in 2009, this mf is lucky he's still got a contract. or a twitter account. he really ought to be thanking his lucky stars that he's even still in the music business. no matter how barely.

It was at the very end where everyone comes out as the credits role. Chris went to shake the host hand and Russel kinda gave him a weird eye roll and half heartedly shook it. Chris turned to say something to a cast memeber but they had all started hugging each other and had their back to him, so he just kinda stood there with his dancers. Plus he was wearing some stupid teddy bear necklace.

Well, they are showing bits inside the LA convention center where they are having the grammys after-party.

The Roots are supposed to be playing there tonight live in a few. Not sure if they will show them performing live online. Also, they are interviewing Quest Love and the Roots right now. They are also taking pics of the winners backstage.

Yeah she participated in Herbie's cover of "Imagine". In fact Pink got a Grammy too from the same performance. Jeff Beck and Seal also shared in the win.

Dear Justin Bieber, my dream was to get a Grammy too. I was nominated and I lost. Be happy and stop fucking cry. What are you? 5?

lol Just messing w/ u bro. Usually, I'm an open-minded dude since I love practically all kinds of music and play various instruments. I'm trying to dig ur band but like u I just don't get it neither. At least Radiohead did grow into a halfway decent band w/ albums like OK Computer. But personally I'll stick w/ Led Zep. In fact I'm rocking "The Song Remains The Same" right now! cool headbang

Na it wasn't really Nick Jonas- its a fake account. I don't think Nick would have dared to have said that given the Bieber army of fans would have harassed him lol

But really Justin not winning is no surprise.

I mean a lot of great artists lost out winning Grammys.

I remember how long it took the Grammys to finally reward Madonna a grammy award finally with Ray of Light.

I also remember Britney losing to Christina at the Grammy's for Best new Artist, but Christina deserved it.

LMAO no.

My point was the Grammy's have a tendency to make big screwups lol

If you are popular doesn't mean you'll win a grammy.

Word has it that Christina Aguilera fell on stage at the end of Aretha Tribute.

It wasn't noticable to the television audience but that's what video and the internet is for. giggle

-The Aretha tribute was THE AWESOME! Everyone killed the vocals! And Aretha herself looked absolutely gorgeous.

-For some reason, Lady Gaga's outfit reminded me of "Gyspies, Tramps, and Thieves" by Cher.

-Bruno Mars should play James Brown in a biopic, because his performance was too spot on. Also, LOVED the Wondaland guys as the backup singers!

-From what I heard, Janelle Monae wasn't singing off-key at all. She was great!

-I see what you guys meant when you mentioned how weird Usher and Bieber's performance was. I thought the whole thing was more hilarious than creepy!

-Catchy performance by Bob Dylan, the Avid Brothers and Mumford and Sons!

-Cee-Lo Green and Gwen Paltrow had the most original performance of the night with those puppets. And Cee-Lo's outfit looked like Mardi Gras on crack!

-Esperanza Spalding for Best New Artist! YEAH!

-Mick Jagger's tribute to Solomon Burke made me chuckle a little - maybe because of the gestures he made towards the guitar player. But overall, it was all high energy!

-I know this has been asked so many times before, but it bears repeating: What does Nicki Minaj have ON?!

I disagree wholeheartedly. It actually would piss me off if I cared. For however many decades, "indie" music has been created and passionately performed and with the advent of the internet, it gains steam. Year after year, countless classic indie albums are produced that aren't recognized by the mainstream/award shows. And now, in 2011, they finally acknowledge the genre with The Suburbs - the most disappointing and boring album of 2010? disbelief

Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

Janelle Monae was amazing!!! Stage diving at the grammys? I LOVE IT!! I love when she does that gritty voice for "Cold War" Fits the song better.... at the end when she singing "don't you cry when i say goodbye" I love it... Simple genius.

And She down BLEW up on Twitter... Going from only being known by big music fans to number 2 twitter topic in the world. Was just the top twitter topic in Los Angeles!

I think it was Janelle's night. I think she'll see the biggest spike in sales from tonight!

She's got Prince calling her his favorite artist. Stevie Wonder memorizing all her songs! and Beyonce is currently back stage telling everyone she's going to a party with Janelle Monae. I think you can say she became a big star tonight! biggrin
