Sylvia Robinson, who ran Sugarhill Records, didn't pay her acts either.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Charlie produced half of Pebbles's debut album. "Take Your Time" and "Do Me Right" were both him in addition to "Mercedes Boy."

Again, interesting cool thanks

I never explored that much into Pebbles' discography. The only album which i purchased so far is "Straight From My Heart" (1995)

One of their most underrated songs. I have the 12 inch version of this song and it's

awesome. Can't believe this song didn't catch onto radio well. I used to play

the hell out of the first side of this album. Wednesday Lover was tough too.

Good to know that there's a maxi-single from that song thumbs up! I never knew, though i have another song from

that album on cd-single. I'll have to re-check for that title and also for "Wednesday Lover", thanks for reminding.

Another slight detail which i noticed is that brothers Ronnie and the late Robert never rocked the jheri-curl which Charlie did during the popular days of that doo, lol.

Robert had a his hair more weaved on the album from 1984 and in the videos of the "Round Trip" album, he and Charlie had let it grow quite much.

Charlie is singing some adlibs on this 1989 song.

I've never seen this before. The description says it's from a 1978 movie called Death Drug. I haven't heard of it.
