I've seen clips of her on you tube, doin' interviews and whaat have you.
Very smart but cynical and not always easy on her interviewers.

I think she's great and I like hr music too.

small circles, big wheels!
I've got a pretty firm grip on the obvious!

She gave me that impression too when I read her interviews. From what I've seen through that documentary though, she came across as a sincere individual who always managed to cut through the bullshit.

This is actually the first thing I own from her, given that I've always been interested in her, I thought I should check that out(two of my FAVE artists sang her praises either through their music or their interviews; Prince & Chaka). Blue will be the first album I'll purchase from her music.

Blue is an incredible album, but what really hooked me, the first thing I heard from heard of hers was Court & Spark. From the opening chords and the poetic crazy lyrics, I fell for her, hook line and sinker.
Seemed like he read my mind, he saw me mistrusting him and still acting kind
He saw how I worried sometimes....I worry sometimes

She's really a lyrical genius, no wonder Prince admires her (Joni Mitchell never lies!)

Had to dig this thread to say I'm addicted beyond hope with...

[img:$uid]http://www.thewaxfactor.com/images/Joni-Mitchell-Hejira-332992.jpg[/img:$uid]

Folks have been telling me that Hissing of Summer Lawns & Don Juan's Reckless Daughter will take alot of rotation space from me, and I'm sure they will eventually, but Hejira is where its at right now music

You and me, we're like America and Russia
We're always keeping score
We're always balancing the power
And that can get to be a cold cold war
We're going to have to hold ourselves a peace talk
In some neutral cafe
You lay down your sneaking round the town, honey
And I'll lay down the highway

UGH! disbelief worship

Yeah, I'll have to checkout this film out too. I want to thank Ms. Mitchell for teaching me the fretboard on the acoustic guitar, she saved me a lifetime of trying to figure it out for myself. Hell, I'm sure I wouldn't have. lol Brilliant. Ms. Mitchell did a 3 part interview with Charles Rose a couple of years ago, I'm not sure if it's on the Tube but it's worth seeing.

It must be on google video, there're loads of Charlie Rose interviews there. Thank god.
