Most of those artist deserve to be on the list but in some cases I liked their other slow jams better.

Roberta Flack....The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face

Al Green.....How Do You Mend A Broken Heart

Isleys.....Voyage To Atlantis

Prince.....The Beautiful Ones

Jackson 5.....Never Can Say Goodbye

Chi Lites.....Coldest Days Of My Life

New Birth.....Dream Merchant

.....and some that were omitted.....

Enchantment.....Forevermore

The Dells....Give Your Baby A Standing Ovation

Bootsy.....I'd Rather Be With You

Barry White.....Deeper and Deeper

It's still a damn good list though...grown folks! cool

Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

I agree with those that say that most of these are not slow jams. I believe there is a difference between a ballad and a slow jam. Most of these are just ballads.

I have a issue with some people on here calling real good R&B soul music bullshit like folks who have a problem with listening to music after the 60s & 70s I mean I like that but all the music from the 80s & 90s not bullshit. Then say the best thing to come out of the 90's was House music.

All the black R&B artists that wasn't out in the 70's and some 80's get hated on. Stop calling R&B shit hop, Then you complain about slow songs then when someone has upbeat R&B you call it Hip-Hop Soul garbage. I like all the songs added on this list but I would add more myself.

Everything in the 90's is not bullshit and I'm talking to a handful of people that keep saying the stuff and it's bothering me & I know others feel the same on here as well.

Stop blaming 90's R&B artists for artists who don't make good music coming in the game it's not their fault & New Jack Swing & Hip-Hop Soul are not the roots of Shit Hop as you call it it's the Crunk Music.

Thanks for the adivice I no that gotta be annoying cause their is a lot of great songs that came in the 90's decade from New Jack Swing R&B/Soul with great rhythm. Also I don't get the hate on on the Neo Soul artists then you hate that we have bad music. This R&B Neo Soul stuff is good music you can't have it both ways.

Like I said earlier:

"A House Is Not a Home" - ballad

"If Only for One Night" - slow jam

Love Lutha to death but they voted the WRONG TYPE OF SONG in it.

I would have picked these.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton
