i remember this episode!!! i was like, YEAH! FISHBONE! i saw them twice, amazing shows they put on.

and arsenio got the shaft, because he interviewed farrakhan! he was like, yo! i'ma do it anyway, even though they told me they was gonna kick me off tv if i did the show. much respect to arsenio for standing like a man and keeping it real on the tv.

i like the 'if i were a... i'd' segments of the album... they sound a lot like what melvin van peebles and bands like madhouse were doing... and i love how branford marsalis hooked up with them at some point. you think his brother was mad at that?

Their Christmas EP is a kick ass!

I just threw in some Fishbone last night! Including this song.

I played the In Your Face cd too.

I LOVE Fishbone! They are so woefully underrated. They were the most talented of all the bands that had their heyday in the 1990s, but they never broke out like their brethen.

Give a Monkey a Brain is my favorite album by them. It is just a fantastic album all around.

Hopefully, the documentary about them that's coming out this year will help secure their legacy.

I've loved them since 1989 after I heard Truth And Soul. A game changer for sure.
