Just like Britney's releases, this will likely be a hit.

as long as the chorus is catchy and the melody is good, I can mentally block the lyrics...

K I have to toot my lil horn here.

http://socialitelife.com/gagas-producer-says-she-didnt-plagiarize-02-2011#more-5555062

One of the producers on Lady Gaga‘s album – no, not RedOne – has come out to say that the plagiarism claims about her new song “Born This Way” are completely asinine.

DJ White Shadow, who is overseeing the Born This Way project and the first single alongside Fernano Garibay told Billboard about the single.

“She made it. She came up with the idea, she wrote it. She is a genius. We recorded it around the world, on the road, in whatever was available. It sounds like it reads, but not like you think until you hear it.” Many have said that the lyrics read a little too similar to the 70′s hit song “I Was Born This Way” by Carl Bean.

He also goes on to describe the album in a very bizarre way…

“Yes. I have been working on this record for well over a year. It has been awesome. Sonically it is much more complex.”

“It’s beautiful. Like a golden spaceship touching down on a rainbow runway in a field of fresh mint.”
So it’s pretty good?

Semi Precious Weapons also describe the album as, “amazing, epic, the most incredible album I’ve ever heard.” Plus, Perez Hilton also told MTV that it “meets the hype” and will “change culture.”

Well, we’ll see about that, won’t we?

This just has way too much hype. She won't perform like Floptina but I don't think this isn't gonna be the big #1 everyone's expecting.

Speaking of the original "Born This Way" songs, there was someone else who did it in a Motown-esque version, I guess this was before Carl put his stamp on it (his version was arranged VERY differently):

His version was quite popular too but Carl's version usurped it (especially with people either sampling it or covering it themselves). Both versions were released by Motown.

It was written by Bunny Jones and Chris Spierer
