I am not so sure that quoting two Asian-Americans really constitutes a backlash from the Asian-American community. I hope that for this dude's sake the article is not representative of his writing, 'cause as Robin Williams said in the voice of Truman Capote - "That's not writing, that's just typing.

What are the lyrics they're pissed about? Sounds like a bunch of people looking for something to get angry about from what I read.

But of my young life this is probably the most hyped song i can think of, i have never seen a song given so much publicity over every two new lines of lyrics that come out and every twitter thing GaGa post about it news. And now all this silly ''controversy''

Motherfuckers are hyping it in two ways: it's the greatest thing to come out since sliced bread or it's going to bring us closer to doom in 2012.

While what this person said isn't right, the fact that she used that word seems to reek of quite an outdated mindset, especially for someone who prides themselves on such forward thinking. If she had used the word 'negro' to refer to black people everyone would have jumped on her. I find the two terms to be similar in that respect.
