Aretha was on a roll and said the surgey she had according to her doctors will add 15 to 20 years to her life.

She said the weight she is now is where she wants to be and she even received a letter from President Obama.

Well, I do remember Patrick Swayze was initially treated and had his cancer go into remission, and he was well enough to shoot a TV series for A&E. However, it was cancelled after just one season, but had A&E decided to renew the series, it would have not mattered, because Patrick Swayze's cancer came roaring back and ultimately took his life.

I guess I'm really optimistic because I want to believe her.

Maybe she's of the religious belief where if you speak like you don't have the disease, you're speaking as if it isn't so, in faith. May sound funny, like lying, or whatever to some, but just saying, that's what some people of faith do. However, she sounds like she doesn't have pancreatic cancer. Something else was the issue. Whatever the case, it will all come out in time.

Maybe she did have gastric bypass after all.

She apparently knows, she just chose not to reveal them. None of them took care of the two sons, her grandmother practically raised them while Aretha pursued her secular career.
