As for the topic at hand, I'm not all that big on the new Britney song. That said, there are only about 4-5 songs of hers that I enjoy. For the record, a couple of them are on Blackout, which is the best of the 3 albums of hers that I've heard.

She's a big star - that much is true. However, I think there is a ton of much better pop music out there, both now and throughout the 2000s.

Billboard.com has been Spears Central this week, following the scorching radio debut of "Hold It Against Me." As previously reported, the song is expected to exceed 400,000 in first-week download sales, as well, according to industry sources, and blast in atop next week's Billboard Hot 100.


In the meantime, here is a look at Spears' U.S. album sales to-date, according to Nielsen SoundScan:

Spears has sold 2.9 physical singles and 21 million digital tracks.
