Please stop with this mess.
Prince, Michael, Stevie etc. did not tell the world they were going to change the game. They just did it.
Remember back in the day, Dirty Mind just came out of nowhere. Total left turn. Off The Wall, SITKOL, ETC. Hell every time Prince released a album it was different. Even his hair, clothes, shoes etc. without saying a word. The man didn't even use his own name: The Starr Company, Jamie....
Dammit this needs to stop. People went to the damn movies to hear Prince's voice! Michael's producers were not telling the world how great new record would be. It just was. That shit was "REVOLUTIONARY" .
Hey Usher and Bey, you two need a special kind of talent to change the game, and there is no one at the moment with that kind of talent.
I know right!? These artists today are so predictable and have no originality what so ever. It's really sad. When Usher released that single OMG earlier last year, that just did it for me. I'm not a fan of some of these R&B artists changing their sound to become pop artists just for the sake of having a top 10 song on the Billboard charts! I know R&B isn't as mainstream like it once was, but all this pop fluff music is really bad...all the songs sound the same these days. |

Interesting. I hope people don't leak his ground-breaking songs like they did with Beautiful Monster, he really caused a hoopla on Twitter about it. I'm afraid of Americans. I'm afraid of the world. |

Usher’s ready to start a revolution.
The singer, who is currently in the early stages of recording his next album, is setting out to create a new genre of music on the follow-up to last year’s Raymond v. Raymond.
Instead of dipping into Euro-pop like he did in 2010, he is planning on making an album’s worth of “revolutionary pop.”
“I’m a consumer of culture and love mixing styles and inspirations, both in my music and my style,” the superstar told StyleList. “I’m working on a new genre of music—Revolutionary Pop—which combines several music genres to create a new sound experience.”
His Fauxhawk also reflects the style of music he wants to develop with his seventh studio album. “I love that people are talking about the new hair; it represents who I am now and the creative movement of Revolutionary Pop,” he stated.
Though details are scarce surrounding the new project, Usher will be teaming back up with songwriter Rico Love, who penned his recent hits “Hey Daddy (Daddy’s Home)” and “There Goes My Baby.”

He needs to explore a revolutionary thing called a razor! When go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all up in the house but when log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming! |

i agree with everything said here. michael, prince and stevie are the ones who GENUINELY changed the music game because they are musical geniuses and DON'T need to say that they are doing it. they just do it and its obvious when it happens. I think he's SAYING he's gonna change the game because that will stick in people's heads so when the majority of people who listen to radio music nowadays hear it, they will just automatically think "WOW! THIS IS SO NEW AND INNOVATIVE!" no offense to him whatsoever, but i don't have much confidence in this new genre at all.
Now, the part i disagree on.
Hey Usher and Bey, you two need a special kind of talent to change the game, and there is no one at the moment with that kind of talent.
I don't know if you are familiar with her music, but Janelle Monae, with one LP and one EP under her belt has already changed the game, IMO. she has created her own genre of music that i guess could be classified as futuristic pop/r&b. her music is innovative and purely genius. she is the only person in the game right now that is TRULY making huge leaps and bounds as far as new music is concerned. |
