Basia I have all of Basia's albums. Like Sade, she rarely releases anything, but she released her 1st album since 1994 in 2009 (not including the Matt Bianco 2005 reunion album). Here's a couple of my favorites. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I'm liking I Must reminds me of her early stuff, but a little more modern. A very underrated artist. Thanks for sharing. Just Music-No Categories-Enjoy It!

Yeah, Basia is like Swing Out Sister or Minnie Riperton in that the general public think they're one hit wonders. LOVE Basia! When I worked at Toys R Us, her songs were constantly played over the piped-in store music, including this track, one of my faves
"Get up off that grey line"

^^The guy in that video is Basia's longtime songwriting partner Danny White. He's in the New Day For You video too, but he had a lot of hair in that one. Wow, that guy with the long, thick hair and tight jeans in the New Day for You video is this guy? "Get up off that grey line"

Now that I see both videos together, the guy in the New Day video doesn't look like Danny. I've never really looked at the guy's face in the New Day video that closely when the video used to be played on TV. That is what was said at the time on some video show. But the Cruisin video is definitely Danny. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B.
