Right now, Grateful Dead, Veneta OR 8-27-72, aka Sunshine Daydream. I've been looking for a torrent or download of this FOREVER (seriously, ten years at least, but I gave up at some point - before that I was looking for a VHS copy) and finally found one with restored early gen video and soundboard audio late last night. Blows the YouTube clips out of the water. Can't post a lot of this film, but this Dark Star is literally what I'm listening to (and watching) right now. I'm kinda giddy n' stuff.

I've just recently found Johnnyswim! Love them. Britten Newbill co-writes alot of their stuff, and that guy is amazing. You have to check him out if you haven't heard him yet. His debut cd Six Strings and a Drum Machine is one of the best albums in recent years. He's an acoustic soul kind of artist. Heavily influenced by Prince. Great live performer as well. | |
