Top3 Best / Worst Things (musically) of 2010 Now that the legendary Teena Marie has left us , and considering that 2010 has only four days left, I think it could be interesting/therapeutic if we all make a top3 of the worst/best things that have happened, musically, during this transitional year
Worst 1.The DEATH OF TEENA MARIE 2.The huge international success of Justin Bieber 3.Concerts are insanely expensive Bonus -Still no news from Bowie
Best 1.Spotify 2.Many veteran acts are still touring/recording (Clapton, Prince, Ferry, Duran Duran, etc.) 3.Some strong rap albums after years of overrated and/or irritating mediocrity...

Well im going to stay away from death notices on the worst list, because its so....strange, how we remember then forget, thats a whole other issue, BTW actor Steve Landesberg died a few weeks back, he was dietrich on Barney Miller the only REAL cop show on tv. But back to the best/worst
WORST
1. This whole Twittering BS, whether its lame football players, or so called artists taking out their issues with their fans, other artists and labels...this shit has to go, i say if u twitter U should be banned from recording.
2. The ever popular DOUBLE STANDARD, so big deal Miley Cyrus did a sexy music video, BIG deal that so and so rb female looks sexy in her videos, all of them. When they do it they are whores and sluts and when Usher or Jamie Foxx or Trey Songz or whomever does it, its sexy, this BS is nonstop on this forum too!
3. So called Music Retail outlets like Best Buy not carrying things, look, you wanted the hold on the business you got it, now you pull music dvds and almost 80% of your catalog stuff to make room for the new usher and drake cds?
BEST
1. a-ha's Ending on a High Note Tour and their final year: everything was done with class, tons of interviews, an 80 date tour, a greatest hits dvd/cd set, a new video, no twittering shit, and playing every corner of the world to say goodbye to all their fans, NO act has ever shown this much class. oh and i cant forget,.....human priced tickets
2. new albums from veterans like Duran Duran, John Mellecamp and Elton John clearly showing who the masters are!
3. Artists that do things on their own not thinking of charts at all "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

Worst:
3. Arcade Fire are earning tons of critical adoration for a bitterly disappointing album. 2. The continual decline of the industry has caused a few artists to contemplate not releasing physical CDs anymore. 1. The success of artists like Beyonce, The Black Eyed Peas, Kings of Leon, Katy Perry, etc.
Best:
3. LCD Soundsystem 2. Janelle MonĂ¡e 1. Sufjan Stevens Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!
