I agree. But many people get confused and think just because she's not a screamer or lacks the ability to do crazy runs and vocal techniques that she can't sing. That's so false. Janet has never claimed she can "sing her ass off" nor did her fans. She has her own style of singing and it works. For someone with such light weight she can do things with her voice that big voices can't. Janet is kinda like Billie Holiday. The texture of her voice is thin and silky but very expressive.

Seriously, people need to do their research before comparing vocal abilities. If they don't have the same voice type AND vocal range, they won't ever sound alike no matter how much vocal coaching they get. Just enjoy Britney's catchy pop songs and flashy image and stop trying to sell her as a good singer because she isn't. When she was younger, she had a way better voice than she does now but even then it wasn't anything to brag about. If you want to see a child who can REALLY sing, watch videos of an 8-year old Shanice singing the hell out of 'Home' from 'The Wiz' and then tell me how great Britney's voice was a kid. Shanice would have mopped the floor with Britney and Christina...still can which is why it's so sad she has to lower herself to singing cover songs in her living room because she's not willing to walk around dressed like a damn hooker just to sell her music. Crazy how much people love a good gimmick and how so many people seem to like to buy music with their eyes...hilarious. Absolutely. Actually, my comment was directed at all the haters. And I love that acapella clip. Must've watched it over and over. Janet definitely knows how to use her vocals and be creative.

Yeah, Janet has no emotion that's why she did this performance. She refused to perform any other song from 'The Velvet Rope' and told VH1 that if they didn't let her do this song she wasn't going to do the show at all.
