Lets start that one, i've always wanted to know why some singers sing the way they do. Like Britney, regardless of peoples opinions on her vocal ability, she is not singing in her natural voice.

Britney's voice is just as thin as Janet Jacksons voice.

I don't get why you keep defending a singer without a significant voice? Janet Jackson might have made some impacts because of Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis songwriting / production and because of her connection with Michael Jackson, but without that Janet Jackson is a far mediocre singer.

Their voices are far alike midiscover, thin, mediocre, lacking soul and urgency.

Jimmy and Terry are nothing without Janet and MJ is dead. Just because Janet isn't a screamer or a "powerhouse" doesn't make her mediocre.

Britney Spears is a great Bubblegum pop singer. She never had a powerful voice but she worked with what she got.

Now, for those saying Xtina's voice is fading, that's a lie. If you hate her because of her "dirtty" image or lackluster album say that but don't fib on the voice.

Songs like "You Lost Me" and "Lift Me Up" proves her vocal abilities. Christina just needs to find a new marketable image. She's having an musician's middle life crisis. She woke up one morning and realize the music business isn't the same as the way she left it. Now she's running around trying to find a current trend to follow and it's just not working well for her like it is for peeps like Usher or Katy Perry.

The whole "Janet can't sing" is a tired debate. Janet can sing. She just has light vocal weight.

Janet is a thin voiced, confused creature who did benefit a bit from the connections with her brother.

But anyone who defends her as some strong, solid artist by herself, is missing the clue.

I'm sorry but that was terrible. If that's the case of her voice being no different then I guess Cornelius1973 was right. Maybe I was just in "awe" over Janet in the 90s and now I'm finally listening to how terrible she sounds now.

There are ten, or lets say hundred thousands girls who can sing better then Janet Jackson.

I think you're just deaf. There was nothing "terrible" about that vocal performance. It's how she always sounded - soft and pretty. Case closed.
