I'm not really sure. I have several songs over 20 minutes, and several under 1 minute. I may come back to this, but off the top of my head, these are all quite long:

Can - "Yoo Doo Right"

Sufjan Stevens - "Impossible Soul"

Prince - "Billy's Sunglasses"

Tantra - "The Hills of Katmandu"

Automat - "Automat"

Longest song: Igor Stravinsky - Rite of Spring: 22:32 minutes

Shortest song: Clint Mansell - High On Life: 0:11 seconds

Interesting question.

If I throw out classical pieces, which are often super long, but broken down into shorter movements, my longest song is an extended version of "I Would Die 4 U" from God knows where (30:41).

If I throw out intros, segues, skits, etc., my shortest song appears to be "Her Majesty," by the Beatles (:23).

Longest: Lovesexy - Prince 45:03 (It's actually the whole album but on itunes you can't buy the singles, it's just one long track)

I know that both Pink Floyd songs "Echoes" and "Atom Heart Mother" are over both over 23:00 long. I have them both.

Prince also gets a nod for the 12" of "America". 21+ min long.

Shortest song....hmmm....I'd have to agree with Lammastide for Beatles "Her Majesty". But a dumb song that has been in my head lately because of Christmas is "Jingle Jingle Jingle" from the Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer special. Burl Ives singing as Santa. 1:17. Most of the songs on that CD are under two minutes actually.
