Why would Takar lie? Why would Takar, who always supported Michael publicly and who worked for the Bahrain royal family when MJ was there, lie? When John Landis and the Ireland maid told some stories about Joe some had the same reaction. So...everybody lies about him, right?

girl you are so defensive lol I don't even know this Takar you speak of, I just know MJ went to south africa in the 90's with his parents and no details cause I took a little MJ break that time, and I already know Joe is a weirdo.... I never saw him the same after the BET awards though I always knew he was a gold digger, especially when trying to get him to do the shows with his brothers just before his death, that was some messed up crap.

What line from "Blame It On The Boogie" did MJ pull out for "Scream"?

I'm not hearing it off the bat...

Ok it might be a stretch but when I hear him sing "blame it on yourself" at 4.21 I expect to hear "ain't no body's fault" to follow it.

Might just be my ears and my connection.

oh.....ok....thanks! Didn't notice that.

RETURN OF THE KING: The late King of Pop makes a triumphant return to Billboard's charts.

While "Michael" arrives at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 behind Taylor Swift's "Speak Now" (2-1) and Susan Boyle's "The Gift" (1-2), Michael Jackson's posthumous set claims top honors on R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.

The album is Jackson's eighth No. 1 on the R&B/hip-hop album tally:

Peak Year, Title, Weeks at No. :1
1979, "Off the Wall," 16
1983, "Thriller," 37 (the longest reign in the chart's 45-year history)
1987, "Bad," 18
1992, "Dangerous," 12
1995, "HIStory: Past, Present and Future Book 1," two
2001, "Invincible," four
2009, "Michael Jackson's This Is It" (soundtrack), four
2011, "Michael," one

Jackson ups his total to 94 cumulative weeks atop R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, the most among solo acts. Only the Temptations (109) have spent more time at the summit. Jackson has spent an additional 39 weeks at No. 1 with five leading albums as a member of the Jackson 5.

The arrival of "Michael" spurs a 65-39 jump on the Billboard Hot 100 for the set's first radio single "Hold My Hand," with Akon. The song is Jackson's 38th top 40 hit on the Hot 100, breaking a tie with Neil Diamond. Among male artists, Jackson trails only Elvis Presley (80), Elton John (57), Stevie Wonder (46), James Brown (44), Marvin Gaye (41), Lil Wayne (41; see below) and Frankie Valli (39) for most top 40 charted titles among solo males.

"Hold My Hand" is Jackson's first song to ascend to the Hot 100's top 40 since "Butterflies" took flight to No. 14 in January 2002.
With the new track's advance, Jackson becomes the first artist to reach the top 40 on the Hot 100 in each of the '70s, '80s, '90s, '00s and '10s.

Also, add Where Do I Stand? to the Victory Outtakes list. I was later released on Marlon's solo album Baby Tonight in 87 but we don't know if it's the same version.

You're right. I always think because Michael did This Is It in '80 but then revised it with Anka later, I add Love Never Felt So Good to the 1979-80 with the possibly it could've been Michael by himself at first lol

1982-1984 (Victory)
-----
Doing Dirty - Why do I feel like this is the original version of Dirty Diana?
They're from the same time frame. Doing Dirty was done in '82 and Diana was written a year later

1985-1987 (BAD sessions and Other)
-----
Don't Be Messin' Around - Isn't this Thriller era?!

It probably is, but the small snippet that's circulating sounds 1986-87. I heard it was redone for Bad too......I'll add it to the 1981-82 category

Jay, pack your bags! We're about to raid SOMEBODY'S VAULT for all those damn songs!

Man, my Jansport backpack is already packed! lol

Those Victory sessions were tragic, all that good music that could've been used. confused

Right I’m sitting here looking at the titles and how Michael and Jermaine wrote some together, why these songs weren’t used. You can tell that album was rushed it didn’t feel like a group effort. I listen to it sometimes though.

I'm kinda reminded of how the production of DeBarge's Rhythm of the Night went... looks like the Jacksons were going through similar problems.

I heard the Rhythm of the Night Sessions were a mess , funny the Jacksons didn't sing any victory songs on that tour.

I think they were really pressured by the company due to the success of Michael's Thriller that instead of trying to separate themselves from it, they tried to get what Michael and Quincy had done with Thriller and they were probably so upset over the sessions that they decided not to put any Victory material on it. The reunion was really a wasted opportunity. They got too power-hungry I believe instead of music-hungry as they were on Destiny and Triumph.

They started work on it as early as '83 before the Motown 25 performance with some brief work in '82, so I don't think they rushed, it's the issue of

*Jermaine coming back

*Thriller

*The brothers all wanting to be in the spotlight and conflict in the studio

*preparations for the tour
