To keep it out of this one. Some people are going to argue no matter what. Not everyone loves either one and some people love both of them.

It reminds me of when MJ died and this other board I was at started to experience some real chaos in the Elvis, Beatles, and MJ threads. So, some mod or user made a thread, specifically for that subject. All of the bickering and debate on all three artists stayed in that one particular thread and the initial threads for each act were now free of the nonsense and could get back on topic. Eventually, everyone came to a conclusion and now the thread is dead, unless someone decides to bump the discussion up again. It was an excellent decision and it worked. You can't stop them, so just let them have their freedom to debate/express themselves or whatever they feel like doing. They'll tire themselves out eventually.

Jackson, Boyle, Swift Battling For No. 1 On Next Week's Chart

The No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart next week is seemingly up for grabs, as three albums are possibly vying for the penthouse.

Michael Jackson's new posthumous "Michael" set may move around 200,000 to 225,000 by week's end on Dec. 19, according to industry sources. But, Susan Boyle's current No. 1, "The Gift," could also sell around as many copies (if not more), as could Taylor Swift's former chart-topper "Speak Now."

Jackson's last release, the "This Is It" compilation soundtrack, started at No. 1 a little over a year ago with 373,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan. However, it's difficult to compare the sales fortunes of "Michael" to "This Is It" because they are such different projects. The former is a much-discussed assemblage of new recordings coming nearly a year-and-a-half after his death. On the flip side, "This Is It" was essentially a greatest hits collection, released in conjunction with the popular concert documentary film.

Next week's second-biggest debut will probably come from R. Kelly's "Love Letter," which is aiming for a start around 160,000. That should be enough to secure the R&B icon his 13th top 10 album. A year ago, he arrived at No. 4 with "Untitled," shifting 114,000.

Diddy Dirty Money's "Last Train to Paris" might roll into the top 15 with possibly 60,000 to 70,000. Diddy last took a bow on the list in 2006 when his "Press Play" entered at No. 1 with 170,000.

Other new albums on tap for a significant debut next week include 2010 "American Idol" runner-up Crystal Bowersox's "Farmer's Daughter" (45,000 to 50,000), Tank's "Now Or Never" (perhaps 40,000 to 45,000) and Ciara's "Basic Instinct" (30,000 to 40,000). For you "Idol"-watchers, Bowersox's first-week will likely exceed that of Lee DeWyze, the fellow she lost to. His "Live It Up" debut started with 39,000 at No. 19 a few weeks ago. (DeWyze's set earned the smallest start for an "Idol" champ's first post-show album.)

Orrr....That person generally just believes that about MJ with no involvement of her Prince fandom....you know, most people think as she does. It actually could be that simple.

This is the only MJ thread allowed on the Org, you have to accept all opinions, agree or not. It ain't a praise MJ thread...It's MJ discussion.

I disagree with her, but this had to be said. I HUGELY doubt it's fear of another artists talents, as my view is that MJ is no way near the heights of Prince and that's a common view around here, so that view alone would disable that notion. Mostly, though, opinions aside...it ain't a sport....which ironically, most MJ deciples see it as......We talking sales figures yet?

But in a middle of all of the discussions about this new album and other topics, shygirl's comment and that other orger's comments brought nothing to the discussion, it was just shit talking, so why post it?

Frankly, of the songs Michael's done in the last 10-15 years, I think I'd rather hear "unfinished" versions. He was a perfectionist to the point of barely being able to release anything, and when he did, it was over-thought and over-produced to within an inch of its life. By the time he was done "perfecting" something, there was barely any life left in it.

Teddy must of been drunk on that Quincy comment, but he is right about "will i am"

I doubt MJ was ever going to use him for ANY album. The track that was played on access hollywood in 2006...MJ was looking at him like...This is kinda wack...and will was like this is a CLUB BANGER

That's why I think it would've been cool if they had released a 2 CD edition with the second disc being the original mixes. I was listening to the 2004 mix of The Way You Love Me and the new version on Michael and the old mix is better, it had more character where as the new version omitted certain details that made it so endearing

I like both versions. Slightly preferring the original.

All this fuss over Sony has got me wanting Motown to hit their vault. At least there'd be no questioning authenticity. Wouldn't mind something from the couple of years before they left (Get It Together/Moving Violation era).

All of those songs were/are hits in the last two years and get a great reaction in any club.

MJ would have murdered some of the beats Will has dropped in the last few years. Especially the ones on his solo album "Songs About Girls" which went a little under the radar.

I think most people would rather have the songs MJ did with Will.I.Am and RedOne as opposed to Akon stuff and fake-ass Cascio songs.

"Best of Joy" is in my top 10 favorite MJ songs of all time. I simply love it.

I am not crazy about that performance. Yeah, Can´t Help It was nice, but I don´t care about Jermaine singing Mike´s songs. I want Mike to do Mike´s songs and Jermaine to do Jermaine´s songs.
