nod It's always a bad sign when the record company releases a few singles, then delays the album for months. They know it's a dud and weren't sure what to do with it.They probably thought "let's release it during the holiday shopping rush and it will find an audience".That strategy backfired, lol.

they have been doing that for years, thing is that is money to them, thats why you see all these releases coming down all at once now, Keri, Ciara and Keyshia and then Jamie Foxx, im surprised Bow Wow doesnt have something new now

It backfired last year too lol I mean, why don't they just drop her? They have plenty of successful artists under Jive. So they really don't need Ciara.

I picked up the album on itunes.

I like a couple tracks here and there....suprisingly..the slow jams are actually the best of the bunch and there are only 2 of them I believe.

I liked how the album starts off, firing back at her haters and blogs talking about her flopping. There are some nice beats and some crafty studio work...but the lyrics leave alot to be desired...Tricky and Dream need to really understand how to songrwite..there is nothing clever or thoughful in what they put to lyrics. Worst offender was Girls Get That Money...

Album plays and love for vinyl records.

Ciara’s ‘Basic Instinct’ predicted to flop HARD!

Boo hoo!

Ciara’s new album ‘Basic Instinct’ is set to flop HORRIBLY next week. The LP is predicted to sell a catastrophic 35-40k. Although ‘Fantasy Ride’ has also been deemed a commercial flop, at least it managed to sell MORE than double of what ‘Basic Instinct’ is predicted to sell. How embarrasing!

Ciara fans have also been trying to justify the poor sales prediction. And let’s just say I’ve been finding my Twitter timeline rather entertaining. “Regardless of first week sales, the overall success of the album will solely depend on what she does AFTER the first week” says her dedicated fansite Ultimate Ciara.

I’d like to believe that too. But ‘Fantasy Ride’ has not even reached Gold and it sold much more in its debut week. As a result, this is not looking very good for Ciara at all. I was not too crazy about Ciara’s new album and I’ve stated time and time again that her promotional campaign was absolutely RUBBISH in comparison to Keri Hilson’s.

The fantastic performance she delivered earlier today on The Ellen Degeneres Show is what she should have done at The VMAs or The American Music Awards. Her management ought to be ashamed of themselves.

Ciara Basic Instinct Flops w Gimme Dat Performance On Ellen

Where did all of Ciara’s fans go? Ciara who appeared “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” earlier today to give us an energetic and impressive performance of her latest single called “Gimmie Dat” is in for a big surprise this holiday season.

The flexible singer who dropped her “Basic Instinct” CD on December 14th is expected to seriously fail.

Despite going on heavy promotional tour to push the album, it looks like her fans have abandoned her after the project was pushed back a million times.

According to the latest estimates Ciara is expected to sell between 35,000 to 40,000 units of “Basic Instinct”.
Who would have knew it, “Fantasy Ride” was actually a great CD.Where does Ciara go from here? Is her musical career over? What can she do to save her musical career?

She's done pretty good performances on Ellen and George Lopez for Gimme Dat. I can't really see her on any of the music award shows other than the VMAs. I don't think this was highly anticipated album, was it? What did she win a Grammy for? Goodies?

None of the records spoken of are really "anticipated" anymore, those days are long gone. The thing i dont get is all this talk like ciara was this mega seller? now im far from liking Ciara at all, but being realistic her first record has sold 2.7 to date her next record sold 1.3 overall and then that fantasy ride thing sold 189,000 overall and now this record is starting at 30-40,000. Its a trend, in 2004 there was alot of hype around her, she was "younger" and her audience was "younger" Ciara was a good gift to get for the kids also, she isnt that person anymore, the second album sold mostly on the basis of the first one, just like any other artist that had a big debut. But its 6 years later which is about 4 years more than an artists average shelf life these days, i think we all need to lose this train of thought process with numbers, she was a big seller for one album, lets be realistic, she wasnt a mega star of any kind with a huge following.

lol I was thinking that when I was looking at previous album. She's never had big numbers. Why would it start now when she's doing the same thing? She's had a couple of cute singles and hot videos. shrug Oh well. I think I’m all CiCi’d out here. On to the next one.

Yes I agree!

There was not alot of tracks like "Make It Last Forever" "Get In Fit In" "Crush" or even I Proceed....I think that album may be her crown sad.
