Yep I own the album, and yes I like the song (better then the original). Check the 2nd verse and he channels MJ on "Understand" LOL. He doesn't copy him half as bad as the other guys on this thread though LOL, and his vocals are decent enough for the song. Another song off the album not on youtube called "radio ears" is very MJ sounding vocally. Again I like that track as at least its not a carbon copy like those other guys.

Nice key change on the track aswell, particually for an indie bubblggum track like this. No hatin' from me and personally the song and the singer is leagues above the dross posted above, but I thought I would post it as he is pretty obscure. I actually like the track alot LOL.

You're right, i should have said all those artists listed in the original post.

Iv'e never understood the whole Usher is copying MJ thing. Just because he sports a hat thats copying. African americans have been wearing those style hats for years. Not just MJ.

MJ's style choreography is actually more broadway, classical style. Definitely not Hip Hop

Usher uses Hip Hop choreographers and the moves are more street. Look at Michaels Beat it video. Those broadway style dancing.

For example i remember Usher's caught up video and MJ fans were saying he copied. What move? MJ doesnt even use those style of dance moves. As for the slide. Its been around since Boogaloo Shrimp was at banning high school in the late 1970s. Who said only MJ could use it?

Usher does more tha just a slide through.

The only thing similair is the hat but if your familair with brothas who go to clubs thats been going on since the 1940's. My dad, uncle sport these type of hats with suits.

lol I don't know, maybe You Rock My World or even, Smooth Criminal arguably? It's a similar setting. Guy dressed up in an old style, gangster movie in those two, setting and the hero saves the girl. A theme MJ has had in his videos on numerous occasions. In reality, I shouldn't even have to spell this out for you, it's pretty obvious. While MJ may have not been headed 'to the club' per say, the similarities are so fucking obvious that you would have to have been born, literally, yesterday not to see the similarities that Usher's video shares with MJ's own. This isn't a good or bad thing. It happens, this is the way that art has rolled for CENTURIES. There is nothing new under the sun.

=/ MJ's dance has been recognized in all of incorporating various influences that range from vaudeville to tap dance to hip hop, the latter which, coincidentally, comes from the STREETS and has been influenced by other various dances as well. I do agree about the different choreographies utilized in Remember the Time and some of his earlier videos though.Yet, to deny the street influences in MJ's own dancing is really stupid in itself. True that hip hop dancing has really evolved since then, yet it doesn't mean that it is was completely absent in his own.

You honestly think Usher looked at the YRMW video and got his idea from that. Thats not a classic MJ video. So a artist cant head to a club geared out in a video or else its copying MJ.
