lol..Cmon you know what i mean. In real life Usher has gone to clubs and pulled women. Of course not like the video, but he has. MJ talks the talk, but does he walk the walk. Hmm i would hope so but nobody knows.

Forgot to add this earlier. Remember the old tv show Fame that used to come on in the early 80s. Janet and Debbie Allen were on there. Thats kinda the style dancing MJ used with his choreography throught the years. Its great so im not knocking it, but different from Usher's style.

MJ's solo Billie Jean moves are more hip with some street

The thing is this. Usher actually did this in real life while MJ is just acting. Im willing to bet Usher was in this situation more than MJ in real life.

LOL Yes! Usher, really did get out of a car with his buddies and started dancing in the alleryway, where he entered a building passing by a woman who was then attacked by some random gangster dudes and he ran in there and saved her. Yes, you heard it hear FIRST boys and girls. Usher really did do this IN REAL LIFE. Michael was just play acting that shit, but Usher actually did it.

Omg, are you serious?!

lol But wasn't MJ going to Studio 54 when Usher was nothing more than a fetus in his mom's uterus? You really think he was in there just looking around like some innocent baby doe while everyone else was in there as high as hell on drugs and getting down and dirty with each other? His brothers tried to set him up with hookers. He was hanging out with the older women, such as Diana Ross,...hoping to get his way in her pants? It's not as if he was up in his room the entire time in the late 70s with his right hand as his only companion. He was still going outside and hanging out. He was 18 years old & becoming older. I don't know what he was doing later on though...

=/ Ugh...ok, no more. I can't. I'm grossing myself out.

It's more than just about the clubs. Yes, Usher probably stays up in the clubs a lot due to the fact that we are in a club culture now. Club culture is HUGE. It was pretty big in the 70s and it's gotten way bigger now. Yet, like I stated earlier, try to look beyond that. What stopped Usher from just having a video of him just going inside of the club? Why have him saving some chick from some gangsters? Why is he dressed up as a gangster? MJ was widely known for doing this in his videos. While the movies do exist, but knowing that Usher, regularly, cites MJ as an influence we all know that his butt was in front of the tv every time a new MJ video appeared. Just as MJ's butt was, more than likely, in front of the tv every time Soul Train aired.

Whether You Rock My World was not 'classic' of a video to be considered influential to anyone is not how influence works. You see something you like and you try to incorporate that into your own art. I wouldn't go so far as to say that Usher and his choreographer copped all of MJ's moves, but the influence is strong and it is there. Whether or not you want to acknowledge this is a different story.
