I think Bobby's father was doing the management for the duo. Pops Nunn was also doing ministries and such.
Fun notices about the label above are the city-nameprint of Buffalo (Rick's hometown) and the parentlabel-print of Motown Records, on which Bobby eventually released his solo albums. Before those projects, he was with his brother Billy in the group Splendor with one album around 1979 on CBS, produced by Philip Bailey.
There's more interesting punkfunk history, for example keyboardist Levi Ruffin from the Stone City Band, who used to be part of the 60's group The Andantes.
