Dawn Robinson's solo project

me and a friend were just talking about how we miss En Vogue and wondered when Dawn's solo project would finally drop or did we miss it.

Well, I just saw the cd in the music store but I haven't heard anything about it. Has anyone heard it?

The cd has been out for a while. I seem to remember it getting lukewarm reviews. There were supposed to be a song or two on the album that touched on her feelings about Lucy Pearl and/or EnVouge dumping her.

Right before Dawn's CD came out, there was an article on her in Vibe magazine. She seemed thrilled that EnVogue's CDs weren't selling well without her in the group.Well, now that her own solo CD is collecting dust in the cut-out bins,I guess now she knows what it feels like...lol...

But seriously,I like Dawn and I love EnVogue.I just wish they would patch up their differences and make a kickass reunion album( the way SWV are doing right now).Their 1992 album 'Funky Divas' is one of my favs.

From what I've heard...Lucy Pearl was only to be a one-off project and that's all she would commit to. I also heard of rumors of Dawn having too much of an ego for the guys to put up with. Seeing her track record with En Vouge...that might of been the case. Dawn WAS the best part of En Vouge though...I wish they would make a new CD together. Lucy Pearl were making a second album with Joi as the singer. Anyone know what happened??? Lucy Pearl did an autograph signing at a store I worked at...they were all extrememly cool! Dawn sat at my desk an ate a veggie sandwich! I was so happy she was veggie as well!!! Ok...that's all...Oh...I didnt like Dawn's CD too much...the production was not that great...it sounded like an "Over the Hill Diva record"...you might find it in a budget rack near you soon! That album sold less than 80,000.
Every minute of last night is on my face today....

I have it: there are two pretty good songs on it, one being "Set It Off", but it's not that great. The cover is the best part.
