If y'all don't mind, I'd like to flip the thread for a second...

Does anyone actually HAVE anything by "Herman's Hermits"?

I understand that back in '66 they were the second biggest thing to the Beatles.

I remember you mentioning it in my "fave documentary" thread but I don't remember you saying what you didn't like about them.

I watched it and it was a really good documentary BUT

-I concluded they were racists save for Joey, who was a really good guy (Dee Dee said he wanted to be a rapper but said he realized "I'm not negro, I can't speak negro" and I've read things about Johnny

-Their music was onw dimensional

-Their songs sounded the same (that's the same as the second point, huh? lol )

When I signd up I thought the questionaire was speaking of music in general. But whatever . .

If you wish to keep scratching your head and digging in yo' ass because you can't believe someone doesn't care for Prince's music and dares to participate in this forum, that's your problem.

THIS.

I do like Prince, but in terms of a music forum, the Music: Non-Prince section of this forum is one of the best I have encountered on the web.

nod So much so I don't visit the other music sites I belong to as much. lol The diversity is amazing, I think the only genre that hasn't been covered here is Bluegrass. Maybe.... biggrin

lol I know right? I think that's why I havent gotten any of his music yet. I had been getting a lot of music from artists (old and new) over the past 7 years or so that has really lasted me for a bit.

I do love Roxy Music! For some reason, I've never explored Eno's solo stuff, though. I fear it will venture too far into ambient new age stuff that I don't like.

Don't be mad cuz we think you're a freak. lol

The truth is that this site is more than just a fansite. I go for months never once discussing Prince or his music on here. The P&R and General Discussion forums are better than just about anything else out there.

But yeah, you're still a freak for not having any Prince music in your collection. nod

Good example of an artist who was previously absent in my collection.

I went and got Showbiz on VHS this autumn. Ever watched that, Jay?
