Apparently Wilson and the Isleys were hunting at the Catskills in New York. Later one night, Wilson was so drunk he started shooting everywhere. When two of the brothers (the elders O'Kelly and Rudy) and two others tried to calm him down, Wilson started to fight with them, then he was locked in the Isleys' door. He shot through the door. Wilson was charged with reckless endangerment and criminal possession. He would've been in jail for seven years for the incident but charges were dropped.
Picket must have always carried a gun around. I heard a story of him pullin a piece out on James Brown.
Dayum!
Pickett's favorite song must have been Stagger Lee.

I heard a story from a local DJ today who interviewed Wilson Pickett about a few years back, and the story was about when he and James Brown were on the same playbill for a show and they got into an arguement about a woman that both were trying to conquer. Wilson pulled out a gun and shot at James...James pulled out and shot at Wilson with his gun...all with people around backstage at the Apollo! Now that mustve been something to see.

I noticed that because the pictures from the 7 and 8 album are THE SAME! Haha..and they just do not sound ..whole....
Kinda like these two. The 1st was released in 1978, and the 2nd in 1981. The pics obviously came from the same photo shoot, unless they just happened to wear the exact same clothes and jewelry 4 years apart.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Damn he was crazy enough to pull out a gun on James? And James was just as crazy as Wilson was...well I guess now we know which one was the craziest...

With all the sellout bullshit he's been releasing for the last two decades, how the hell is this his first solo album ever? Was he releasing that sellout bullshit under the name "The Isley Brothers"?
Yes he did the Spend The Night album by himself under the guise of the
Isley Brothers featuring Ronald Isley. O'Kelly had already passed and
Rudolph got into the minsitry so i guess to fulfill the contract with Warner
Bros. he did the album by himself which was really his first solo album.
I think a few years later Ernie and Marvin rejoined him for Tracks Of Life.
He and Ernie did the last few Isley Brother albums or so. I only found
Eternal to be excellent.
Like Timmy i will pass.

Tracks Of Life was the last real Isley Brothers album with the the harmonies, the grooves, Ernie's guitar, Marvin on the bass....Still wish Ernie wouldn't have worn that hairpiece on the album cover and the videos but I'll take that too lol

Ugh trying to sport a fade.
lol Damn,You know I never even looked at it as a fade but you're right on the money that it is ha ha At least the brothers still had some integrity on that album not to cash in and go new jack like some of their peers did
Damn,I had both these albums when they 1st came out & never notice the same clothes lol.
