TLC will be recipient at the 2011 BET Lifetime Achievement Award

http://en.wikipedia.org/w...ment_Award

Would've figured New Edition, Zapp, Parliament Funkadelic, or act that's been around longer than TLC would have gotten the nod, but congratulations to TLC nonetheless.

It's way too early to determine that PLUS it came from Wikipedia.

To be quite honest, I think they deserve the honor. TLC was a RARE example of a group that had image, talent and that IT factor. They are legends.

Drop a few classics, either you get a lifetime achievement award or an Unsung episode.

I'm happy to see this, and hopefully Prince will present them with they award hehe

Well unfortunately they reached their pinnacle and they did accomplish a lot considering the genre they were in. Not saying other acts aren't more deserving....

There is nothing more they will achieve as TLC, sad to say.

Love TLC but I have to say it is a little to early for them to get a LIFE TIME achievement award. With only 4 albums under their belt togehter. With their debut in 1992.

Some people think I'm kinda cute
But that don't compute when it comes 2 Y-O-U.

1992 was a long time ago, and their music endured. I think it would be okay to honor that.

That's like saying 1980 "you can't honor no damn Supremes!" but how long u finna wait? shrug They had nuff hits.

The Supremes had like 30 albums (and about 45 singles that charted) by the time 1980 rolled around and they broke up three years before then. lol That's a nice comparison but if you compared them, the Supremes got more attention for their music during their tenure than TLC did. To be frank, most of the 1990s groups had potential to be legends. Maybe we can call TLC that, who knows?

You don't need 50 albums to make an impact though; that's just pertaining to the decade we're comparing to.

Fuck it, cancel the whole award then. lol No one achieved nothin'.

Well of course TLC had impact! lol I was just saying, compared it to when the Supremes did it in the '60s, it was a bit unusual.

My whole issue wasn't with them getting it, my issue was how valid is this news? lol
