Ok seriously you guys, while I am more of a fan of the original, I think that all the parties who went into this project knew how big of a pair of black loafers they had to fill when they did this remake. I don't think that they did that a bad job. If anything, I think I put more of the blame on Quincy, because I kind of feel like he thinks that anything he touches turns to gold...when it doesn't.

Also, I know some of people don't like cover songs, but I don't mind it really. I feel that even though people make fun of MJ's 'hee hees" and "shamones" and question whether or not it was real singing in the first place, I know that when you hear other people singing his material...you can notice the huge difference. Either way, I don't want people to be discouraged from covering MJ songs. I think it's a great way to reintroduce people to the music and it helps to keep it alive rather than have it settle in the dust. I think that by doing this it can, hopefully, encourage them to realize what made his work amazing in the first place and try to strive for that kind of excellence as well. Who knows? Maybe one day someone will be able to do to one of his songs what he did to Smokey's.

Speaking of that could you imagine if the internet existed back then? How many people would be tearing little MJ a new one for covering 'Who's Lovin' You"?

[img:$uid]http://ottermatic.files.wordpress.com/2008/03/omgprincehotwtf.gif[/img:$uid]

Seriously? lol

And uh, people were praising Michael for covering Smokey. Hell not too many knew it was from Smokey unless you were a Motown fan. lol

lol I know that. If the internet existed back then though, people would STILL be bitching even if he sang the hell out of that song.

I didn't say that the people who sang this song outdid MJ though. Hell no! This shit sounded like a hot mess.

Michael Jackson would roll over in his grave if he heard this garbage disbelief Shame on Quincy for destroying a classic MJ song.

It's time for Quincy to call it a day and retire.

When Quincy gets to Heaven, Michael's going to whip his ass over this shit.

I love this quote from YouTube:

"As for T-Pain... we looking for you. We gon' find you!"

"Now i know what T-Pain stand for...

((To Put Autotune Is Necessary))

That is his slogan, LMAO!

NO WAY Michael signed off on some FUCKERY such as T-Pain remaking ANY of his songs!

This is Quincy's FOOLISHNESS!"

Yep nod

Apparently hoping that more artists take the time to really study MJ's music so that it can properly influence their own music and maybe stop them from doing covers of his music such injustice is such utter bullshit.

Quincy Jones Takes On "Haters" Over "P.Y.T." Remake

November 4, 2010

Quincy Jones, is taking aim at those who have a problem with the reworked record.

“Today with Facebook and Twitter and everything, I have never seen so many haters in my life,” the 77-year-old legend exclusively tells Rap-Up.com. “But it’s people sitting in their basements with their pants on the ground, just being haters. I don’t get it, man. That means they don’t have a life.”

“The freedom in music is do what you want to do,” he shares. “I don’t think anybody should sit there and say you shouldn’t do that or you shouldn’t do this. That’s not up to me to say.”

While T-Pain said that he recorded the song at Mr. Jones’ request, Quincy offers a different take. “They volunteered. I didn’t choose them. I didn’t produce this,” he says. “Six years ago, Timbaland came to me with one of his assistants in South Beach and said, ‘We’d like to do a hip-hop tribute to all your old songs.’ I said, ‘Great, man. That’s a very big honor ’cause I’ve worked with a lot of the hip-hoppers anyway and have always been behind them.’”

Jones took a back seat when it came to putting together the project. “I just sat down with guys that were my friends and they called and asked me questions and so forth. I’m there for them, but I said use your own voice, but make it better than the one we did.”

Wasn't Quincy's CD supposed to be released a while back? Wasn't there a single release this past summethat people weren't responding to? I guess that's the reason why the release date has been pushed back?

this pantsless hater says that fool is making excuses for this POS, disowning it, and fairly admitting that it's bad. He might not have chosen the artists or produced it, but he did unleash it on us which is worse

For all the ppl that hate mr for ruining pyt just stop listening to my sh*t. But if Quincy jones tell you he want you to do something, no matter how much shot you know ur gonna get from the dumb asses in the world, you god damn do it. The f*cked up thing is everybody being so kind to mj after he’s gone, but how can you wish a man to rest in peace when you never gave him peace in a life time? I had the pleasure of meeting MJ and when I left his house I got a call from his lawyer telling mr that MJ wanted me to remake that song. So everybody that’s being overly disrespectful, you don’t have to like me at all, but you also can keep that bullshPt to yourself. Like I said I’m making it my job to stay positive on twitter but this is why the image of my ppl is so f*cked up cuz we all are to envious and jealous of each other to get passed anything. In conclusion, if you don’t like what I do then stop listening to it, if somebody tells you that my sh*t is wak, why would you go and try to find it? Just stay off my timeline and my d*ck and get YO sh*t together, obviously I’m str8 Read more: Quincy Jones & T-Pain Responds To Critics of PYT Remake | Necole Bitchie.com

Fuck you T-Pain. Don't you tell anyone about disrespecting MJ while he was here. That's not me nor anyone here. If you wanna talk about MJ HATERS, look at Quincy Jones the man himself and some of the downright nasty comments he's been making over the last decade.
