This is the new Salt'N'Pepa song "She's Killing Me" and it is extremely gooooood:

There is another new song called called "Big Girls" but I haven't heard it. Anyone has a link?

No.....that's the only word that I can think of when I heard it...right after the beat from "Push it" comes on...it's just "No" from there on....

I hope that the other song is better...and what made Salt change her mind about rapping anyway?..I guess pepa talked her into it..she wasn't having it on their reality show...

I was searching for "Big Girls" and just saw a few different live performance clips on Youtube. It's on iTunes though.

Well, Spin made it quite clear things would have to change for her to be on board, and she's back too.

EH!

Lemme stop you right there.

I know we're probably about the same age but I got some news for you, not even SNP can be credited as being the "first ladies", these girls were:

[img:$uid]http://tinypic.com/fw7m8y.jpg[/img:$uid]

The Sequence

(Though they were also singing R&B, they also had several rap hits like "Funk You Up", that song was later covered by Dr. Dre. nod )

Of course when the "new school rap" of Run DMC and them came around, that's when Salt 'N' Pepa (originally Super Nature) came into the picture lol

I love learning. So feel free to TEACH me, anytime!

While I do recognize Angie Stone, in that picture, my familiarity with her, comes from her connection with Prince. shrug

I did a Youtube search and there is nothing on there from that group The Sequence. So by all means, enlighten me.

Help me find out why they deserve the title over Salt N Pepa.

Until then...

Shoop! Shoop! Shoop!

The Sequence's most famous song is "Funk You Up" but for some reason it's blocked on YouTube. I can give you something via orgNotes lol

Yep the difference here, the Brides always did this. But it wasn't "rap/hip-hop". It's like what Isaac Hayes and Millie Jackson were doing back then. biggrin

The Sequence were more like this:
