Are You an L.L. Cool J Fan/ How Long?

I have been a fan of L.L. Cool J. since the late 80's. He is a Capricorn as I am. I like many of his songs. The sitcom "In The House" was fun to watch. He is a great actor too.

I can relate to the song "Father" Alot of Capricorn and Gemini people grew up without a father or in broken homes. Most of these people become artists or actors. That is odd.

Yes. Since Rock The Bells and My Radio. Plus those lips and physique stay on point.

I'm very proud of LL and his entire career.

Mama Said Knock You Out, the whole record, is on my greatest top 50 list!

1990-1999. Actively from "To Da Break Of Dawn" to "Ill Bomb", went back and did my homework when I became a fan, so his eighties albums are fused to my DNA

I have been a fan since Radio. I saw him in 1986 with Run DMC, Whodini, and The Beastie Boys.

I remember all of those battle records with Kool Moe Dee.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I was a big fan of his music back in the 80's and early 90's. I haven't really enjoyed any of his later stuff but I think his longevity is certainly a testament to the man's talent and influence. You'd be hard-pressed to find Hip/Hop artists who have been in the business for 25 years and are still making records.

The only other act I can think of is the Beastie Boys. They have a new album completed, but haven't released it because MCA has been sick (throat cancer). But some of the songs are on Youtube, though.

I couldn't stand him on the first record. WAY overrated, I thought. He caught my respect on Bigger and Deffer.

Since then, I've only bought the occasional single from him here and there, but I've really admired his adaptibility amid a terribly fickle genre.

Mama Said Knock You Out as an album is awesome to me, and probably the best Marley Marl ever sounded as a producer.

My favorite single by him is the REMIX to "6 Minutes Of Pleasure". It made it sound more like the "Around The Way Girl" beat. The album version got no drums on it! The video version made me grab the cassingle and I have since found the CD single and vinyl 12" lol
