Agreed! Lauryn Hill made one real album and it's better than some artists' whole catalogs which consist of more than 5. Sometimes, all an artist needs is a few records to leave their mark on this world. They could also be giving them the award because it's been almost 10 years since Left Eye was promoted to glory and they want to pay tribute to the group. They usually do multiple tributes during the show anyway so TLC may just be one of the names in the hopefuls pool...kinda like how they have more than one inductee into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame except BET doesn't make folks wait for 25 years as an initial requirement.
